No, I think that they think even invoking the 25th is a worse image for them than a feeble president. Even if they had a much less sh*t VP in the wings the most they'd do is have them run as their 'chosen' candidate in the primary instead of the incumbent.

It looks a lot like they're going to try and ram Gavin Newsome in at the last minute. I personally think that's a bad plan, but he's clearly the one they're trying to prop up.
