it's easier to attack and go on the defense when you don't have a legit counterpoint. we've become a society where we will often not accept truths if they don't jive with our ideology.

e. g. a conservative can't acknowledge that republican fiscal policy over the last 30 years has largely resulted in budget deficits

e. g. when dems won't acknowledge that radical shifts in law enforcement (even well intended) can have negative outcomes

I pointed out to a liberal that Leah Thomas is a man and he was so freaked out and emotionally distraught by that, the dumb fuck actually called me a racist! He even got more pissed when I told him he used "the wrong talking point" to try to shut me up from the fact he can't accept reality. When I said that, I thought he was gonna pass out!

What fact? Cause usually democrats call their emotions fact.. they dont even believe in science..(most of them). (Simple biology). But there are crazy people on both sides.
