My own editorial comment: None of the proposals to mitigate "global warming" are about mitigating global warming. They are scams to increase corporate profit, as well as globalist control over humanity.

No, it will invariably be very expensive but it’s costs (mass unemployment in the ag sector, health problems because of missing micro-nutrients, cradle-to-grave costs and impacts of the energy required to produce it, etc.) will be externalized and unaccounted for. This is what neoliberals do with everything. They argue that their policies have made food cheap, but don’t account for reduced nutritional value of hybrids and industrial scale livestock, the cost of health problems resulting from that, the social costs of mass migration and economic dislocation to shift from family farms to latifundia, toxic effects and environmental degradation from GMO crops, degradation of the land through chemical fertilizer, and poisoning of water with atrazine and other “forever” chemicals.

When a neoliberal says some new sort of centralized production will save money or save CO2, you can be sure it will make everything worse and serve to line the pockets and increase the power of the globalist elites. Clear them out!

Again, as I've been saying for years, none of this is about "saving the planet." There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to be pursuing synthetic foods at the expense of naturally grown (or bred) food, but the same people who push this crap actively finance buying out and shutting down farmland and then complaining about impending shortages.

Yes it will. The argument that it is currently very inefficient is just a comment on it being a new technology with neither the scale nor refinement to truly shine. Give it a few years and it will improve by leaps and bounds, as is the benefit with new technologies compared to something like traditional cattle rearing which has more or less reached its full potential and can't be improved further.
