5.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The term was invented by those who are pushing radical trans-genderism. It's a heterophobic pejorative designed to put heterosexuality in a classification along with all the made up alphabet gender "identities".
As far as I'm concerned there are only two genders - male and female. Gays and lesbians are male and female. Even sufferers of gender dysphoria are male or female. "Trans"men are women and "trans" women are men. They can't change that through drugs and surgery.
So yeah, I'm offended by the "cis" prefix. People who use it are a write off. They have fallen for the brainwashing and become cult members. I want nothing to do with such people."Postmodernism, led by the French philosophers Jacques Derrida and Michel Foucault, declared that it is impossible to determine objective truth. The only “truth” is the relative perspective of each individual person. Since its introduction in the 1960s, postmodernism has metastasized throughout the social sciences, art, and culture and now is the predominant ideology of the left.
"Postmodernism makes things disappear on a society-wide scale. If there is no objective truth that can be known, voilà, no structural problems to be solved other than our own psyches that can be treated with drugs or psychotherapy. This strange ideology is incredibly valuable to capital. The ruling class wants to do horrible things to our bodies. And postmodernism has become a Magic Eraser of these crimes.
"So the autism epidemic becomes, through the magic transmogrification of postmodernism, the Neurodiversity Movement!™️ It’s no longer the largest chemical poisoning event in history, it’s simply A Different (Maybe Better?) Way of Being!™️ This is not a problem to be solved, this is a civil rights movement to be celebrated!™️
"Capital also figured out that they can make $1.3 million per person they “transition” to a “different gender” via chemicals and surgery. Increasingly the business plan targets queer, autistic, and mentally ill kids, many of whom may not be able to give informed consent. This is troubling to people with common sense. Enter postmodernism that re-brands this violent assault on the body as “gender-affirming care”. It’s striking that every word in that phrase is incorrect — they are referring to sex not gender, there is nothing affirming about telling people they are born in the wrong body, and chemical poisons and radical surgeries that often cause pain and complications for a lifetime are the opposite of “care”. But since there can be no objective truth, all that matters is the perspective of those with sex dysphoria (regardless of the fact that those views may change later, but cannot actually be reversed). Under the guiding hand of postmodernism, the wide-scale poisoning, mutilation, and castration of sexual minorities becomes something to be celebrated, the highest form of civilization (while any regret is hidden from view).
"Under postmodernism, any form of toxic injury is made to disappear, never to be investigated, and the injured are celebrated but not actually supported in the weirdest display of internal mental colonization in history."
Capital has used schools, corporate media, psychology and medical institutions to con those who are vulnerable to mind control.72 Reply- +1 y
Also conveniently swept under the rug is the fact that most who have gender dysphoria or are homosexual are more likely to be suicidal especially men. What they also don’t tell you is transitioning to the sex one wants to be doesn’t decrease the likelihood of suicide or suicidal thoughts. Society needs to wake up and start calling a spade a spade and stop tip toeing around these people’s feelings. How is living a lie helping a person?

I agree but there are hermaphrodite who are biologically in between.

+1 yNot offended but annoyed.
Left wing people have decided to alter the meanings of several words to include gender to fit their narrative and agenda.
Gender has always meant sex. Left wingers have changed Gender to mean the amount of masculinity or femininity a person displays (which is personality and nothing more) and followed with the assertion there are multiple genders.
There are 2 and only 2 genders and terms like cisgender are made up nonsense to support a view that is wrong. That is why they annoy me. I’m tired of left wingers just changing the long standing definitions of words and making up new words to fit their agendas and I refuse to participate.
Other examples are:
Trans woman - ohhhhhh you mean a man. A man without a penis. A man without a penis is still a man, not some new category called “trans woman.”
Tolerance - used for those against the LGBTQ community. People against them are labeled intolerant. Do the gays not have tolerance? I don’t see anyone burning them at the stake or not allowing them to exercise their civil rights. That is tolerance. They have tolerance. We all tolerate them. What left wingers mean by tolerance is approval of and acceptance of.
Homophobia - is anyone really afraid of gays? That’s what homophobia would mean, fear of homos. No, what some do is not approve of that lifestyle, not fear them.
Nativist - which means people think rights should be reserved for native citizens only. Not immigrants. No one is saying that. What people are saying is ILLEGAL immigrants should not be here and not have the right to what LEGAL citizens do. No one gives a rats ass about legal immigrants nor thinks they should not have the same rights as citizens, it’s the ILLEGAL immigrants people are opposed to.
Immigration - left wingers use that word and drop the word ILLEGAL. As in “what’s your stance on immigration?” Ohhhh you mean ILLEGAL immigration. See if we drop the word ILLEGAL, and just use the word immigration it takes away all negative context. It white washes it. Makes it sound as if these people have come legally. As if it’s a benign issue. As if no breaking of the law has taken place.
Racist - means a person thinks one or more races are superior or inferior to others. If someone is against Islam and by extension it’s followers does that mean they’re a racist? No, Islam is a religion not a race. Would you call someone against Catholicism or Catholics a racist? What if someone said they don’t like Mexicans. Are they a racist? No. Mexico is a country, Hispanic is a race. One can dislike people from a particular country and not dislike a particular race. Disagreeing with someone also doesn’t make them a racist.
Sex worker - ohhhh you mean harlot, whore, prostitute or trollope. Sex worker whitewashes the fact these people sell access to their bodies or provide sexual services for money. To include porn stars, and sometimes strippers. Makes it sound like just another job.
Far right wing - anyone who is not Woke or is against it is far right wing. Do you have a shirt with an American flag on it? You’re far right wing. Do you disagree with the Biden administration? You’re far right wing. This is pure bull. Far right wing are KKK types, Nazi types, some types of Fascists and other schools of thought in a similar vein. Loving your country is not far right wing. This is done to make conservatives appear to be extreme and dangerous when in fact the majority of them are not.
False information - ohhh you mean dissenting points of view which don’t fit the approved narrative or statements that expose corruption, stupid ideology, degeneracy or outright lies. We don’t want people knowing the truth and formulating their own opinions so we must engage in propaganda and censorship. Zuckerberg openly admitted on the Joe Rogan Show the FBI was pressuring FB to censor conservative posts during the 2020 presidential election claiming they were “Russian disinformation.” He said FB would put their labels of disinformation on those posts with an explanation why they were wrong and reduce the amount of circulation of such posts, but not delete them all together, even though pressured to, however Twitter did remove such posts at that time all together. That was why all that “fact checking” nonsense was going on. The FBI was urging social media to propagandize Americans to influence the 2020 presidential election.
Social concept - Menstruation and pregnancy are now “social concepts” and men can now get pregnant and menstruate. No they can’t and that is fact. Now we use the term “social construct” to refute objective and long standing science due to an agenda.
“The science has changed” - Really? That’s fascinating. The last step of the scientific method is that results must be repeatable. A hypothesis is formed, experiments are conducted, and then the results must be repeatable. This verifies the truth of the hypothesis. No repeatable results = an incorrect hypothesis. An incorrect hypothesis was never science to start with. It was just that a theory or hypothesis. Theories change. Hypotheses change. Science does not change. What the “science has changed” means is “we didn’t use the scientific method and told you a bunch of crap that was not factual or proven to be true, but lead you to believe it was fact because we called it “science.” Same with the THEORY of evolution. It’s taught as fact, yet there is no missing link. No repeatable results in the fossil record to verify Darwinian evolution as fact. It’s still a theory….. but we teach it in schools and colleges as absolute fact, despite there being plenty of actual science to refute much of that theory.
There’s a lot more of this but I’ll stop here.10 Reply

+1 yNo, it's stupid to be offended by something that has been a term for forever...
If you identify as the gender that correlates to the sex you were assigned at birth you are cisgender. It's not a bad word. Cis is just Latin for "on this side of" whereas Trans is Latin for "on the other side of".
It's important terminology when talking about groups of people. If I'm writing a paper specifically about men who were assigned so at birth then I need a way to say that and readdress that over and over. So I will use cis-men. If I was writing a paper about transgender men then I would use the term Trans-men. You can see how it would also help when talking about both and differences/similarities.
833 Reply- +1 y
Or you can just say man or woman and then trans man and trans woman
- +1 y
That's not inclusive. I like to use inclusive language.
- +1 y
Well personally I like being called just a man, nothing else
- +1 y
That's great, good thing that's what people will refer you to as you're not a group of people.
But if someone asks if you're cisgendered you're not going to say no 🙂 - +1 y
I can just respond with "I'm a man" their next question can either be "a trans man?" If so ill just say no , Or they would assume I'm a biological man, I just don't see the point of it doozy 😂
- +1 y
Biological man means nothing. You don't even know if you're a biological man. You've probably never been tested... 😂😂
- +1 y
Please tell me you are joking doozy, I have a dick, I was born with a dick, I've always had a dick, got the nuts as well and I have semen, I'm a man you do know biological means genetically right? Tested for What? There's a test for this stuff? Wtf 😂
- +1 y
There's many many different factors that go into your sex. Your chromosomes are only a small part of that, even then you could have a variation and you would never know unless you were tested.
- +1 y
Tested? I think I'm a biological man, im gonna claim it like everyone claims their own stuff, I'd rather not feed into any of that stuff, I was born with man parts, I'm a dude, call it a simple male brain I guess, I'm sure you claim to be a woman or based on my post a cis woman right?
- +1 y
I am cis woman yes. That's to do with gender not sex though. I don't know what my sex is. For all I know I could have a variation. It honestly could be quite likely given my reproductive situation.
- +1 y
I think your gender is a woman and your sex is female, everyone has male and female genes, we are made from a man and a woman, every single one of us will have a mix of them, I think all the gender chart stuff is meaningless, it's all made by humans, if you think of it, it's like an astrology chart but for sex, it's all made up, all it takes is for someone to name something whatever they want and have you believe It, I can for example grab any mix of genes you have and call it a malefemtigershark and coming out of a scientists mouth, you'll believe you are a malefemtigershark, all it takes is one person to create the theory that more sexes exist and start blabbing a bunch of jumbo, biologically and scientifically there's only two different body styles and that's for a male and female, all the bones are the same for both, except the hip area which is where the genitals are and the area that's meant to give birth and the area that has a seed production, if there was different body formations to back all these sexes then it's believable but there isn't, 2 differences in anatomies, 2 sexes.
- +1 y
You evidently don't think it's useless because you want to be referred to as a man.
- +1 y
Also what you blabbed on about is incorrect. There's variations in everything you stated. There is more than two. Also no two men look the same nor any two women. We all have different levels of hormones which influence our secondary sex characteristics. Hence why we don't all grow the same level of body hair, or have the same size genitals or breasts.
- +1 y
You're offended by a word because it's "made up" yet all words are made up. So do all words offend you? Or is it just the concept of inclusivity that boggles your mind?
- +1 y
Well yea cause that's what I am, cis man is just another word to use for a biological man, which is a man lol
I've read different definitions of cis that people have given me, someone else gave me the definition of cis meaning pedo, you'll find it if you scroll, seems to me like it's more confusion than facts - +1 y
So different levels of hormones means different genders now, cause 20 years ago it just meant unique mix of genetics, where did the idea of different levels of hormones leading to different genders? If anything the different levels of hormones can lead to more femininity or masculinity but not a different gender
- +1 y
Which by the way masculinity and femininity revolve around the two genders that exist, male and female
- +1 y
And yes all words are made up but most of them don't change to something else, I was a man 20 years ago, and now I'm a cis man? So what's a man? I'm confused
- +1 y
No cis man is not another word for biological man. A Transgender woman is a "biological" man.
Whoever said that is just wrong?
I never said different levels means different genders. I'm saying we aren't all the same black and white picture. Sex is a lot more complicated than XX and XY.
Masculinity and femininity absolutely do! I'm glad you brought that up. Not every women is feminine and not every man is masculine correct?
You have always been a cis man. Just because a word has become popular doesn't mean it never use to exist. Cisgender has been in use since at least 1994. Cis itself has been used since the late 19th century. - +1 y
So what's the difference between a cis man and a man?
- +1 y
forever? we never used cis until the newspeak tyrrany. a "way to say" is male. not altering anything.
- +1 y
Cis man- a man whose gender identity matches what they were assigned at birth.
Man- a person who regardless of their sex assigned at birth, identifies as a man. - +1 y
@strateguy632 cis has been used since the late 19th century.
Cisgender has been used since 1994. - +1 y
I'm just gonna agree to disagree on that doozy, I just don't agree with it lol
- +1 y
Disagreeing with definitions? Cool.
- +1 y
Disagree with definition without proper evidence on It, I'm just not convinced, nothing you said is proper evidence of it being another gender, so someone can be a certain gender but a different sex, but somehow it's other genders?
- +1 y
I never said it was another gender... Cis is an adjective...
- +1 y
I'm never going to understand this 😂
- +1 y
It's not that hard if you know the difference between an adjective and noun...
- +1 y
I do, I mean the whole gender stuff, personally I still see myself as a normal man lol
- +1 y
- +1 y
Y'all vibe, I didn't make this post for y'all to kill each other over it, be respectful
+1 yI dont get offended but it's stupid.. I am a biological woman/real woman so🤷🏼♀️. That won't change. Although being called a cis man might not sound good so I get it. It sounds like "sis" lol.
These people aren't stable so I'd just go along with it for my own safety but I agree the whole cis thing is dumb.

A lot of angry people on this thread mad that they're literally being described as biological men/women vs. non-binary vs. transitioning vs. etc...
"I didn't know what it was, so I looked it up. It's another thing to tune out" Y'all are hilarious! The label Cis-(insert gender) means you identify as the gender you were born as. So if you're a biological male and you identify as a male, adding three letters and a dash does not take away your 'maleness'. If anything, it's signifying for everyone else that that is what you choose to identify as.
I don't understand how you're angry at people trying to be more inclusive... Think of it this way: you have a name, correct? Possibly even a name that friends or family call you? So the 'cis' is like your nickname. If your name is Robert but you go by Bob, wouldn't you get upset if everyone ignored that and continued calling you Robert, even though you've made it clear you prefer Bob?
I swear, some people just like being mad.

any change is a problem. just male.
I didn't even know what this was 🤣
I had to Google it
Another one for my growing list of things I tune out 🙃
It's funny tho, the group who demands their pronouns and pet names are respected has no respect for what others prefer.

Lol.
I’m not a cis woman I’m a WOMAN! That’s some shit trans people made up to feel better about themselves. I respect the trans lifestyle since it’s none of my business to say how a person should live or who they should have sex with. But pls trans community leave us natural born women alone ! We are born with vaginas and clits. You have no right to rename us. We ARE WOMEN! WTF IS A CIS WOMAN? They literally wanna argue over who periods belong to 😭. dude wtf kind of insecure shit do trans people have going on in their minds? They wanna feel so validated as women so they attack us natural born women. Periods hurt like hell so I don't know why they would want that? It’s insane. Having a period is not a flex and if u want one so bad then something is seriously wrong with u because IT IS NOT FUN.

+1 yI wouldn't get offended no, unless it was something intentional or something with hate behind it. Like if someone assumes I'm cis and calls me cis, okay whatever. I'm not gonna correct them unless it's important or I know them somewhat. If they're trying to be offensive tho then I may get upset.
My husband had that happen b4. At work he had another guy get annoyed at him for having his pronouns in his email. Asked if he called himself a cis man too, then proceeded to call him cis whenever he saw him for a few days, seemingly to try and piss him off. It's weird what upsets some people, & what some people do to try and upset u..
22 Reply- +1 y
Oh to clarify, my husband's trans, so that's why he didn't just tell the guy off. Didn't want to escalate the situation & risk outing himself to a guy who clearly has strong negative feelings about trans people. After all why would he think being called cis was such an insult if he didn't think being cis was just "normal" and being trans was "weird" and "wrong"
- +1 y
Fair enough
+1 yOf course its crazy not only annoying. We live in a time where u can't be just a man or a woman. U can be they, them, binary non binary. All made up stuff. Its like a new religion and Tyranny. Tyranny have many faces and in the west this one form of tyranny. U r not allowed to acknowelge reality. U need to participate in a sick game of deluded people who r confused about their gender identity and want everyone else to suffer bcs of their confusion. And play their crazy games. The west talks about democracy but its far from it. They want us to believe in 1000 genders like the ancient believed in many gods. To deny the truth. To deny biology. Every Thing north korea does the west does it. And insist they r the good guys.
43 Reply- +1 y
Yep it's a bunch of bullshit is what it is lol

The weird things is that they want to teach that to children in schools that their are many genders. Tells u a lot about the whole education system and how it runs
- +1 y
I know, even doctors are playing along with this bullshit smh
+1 yI would definitely be pissed. Like do whatever you want but don't just go assuming I'm gonna play by all these unnecessary extra stuff you created, just cuz I'm your age (it's literally so normalised in our age grps n is assumed to sooo important/a necessary introductory info, if u wanna be a part of smth..) I personally hate pronouns. Like rights n all are fine, but pronouns is just... Unnecessary fanaticism. Maybe one day they'll create an issue on 2 washroom signs for men n women. Maybe someday they'll even start questioning gender reveal parties. N probably blue for boys n pink for girls, is going to turn smth offensive. Maybe someday they'll even demand kids to be raised with "it" or "they" so that they can cHoOse their gender, when they come at that age.. Like whut

Anonymous(18-24)+1 yNo I don't get offended. It's a term that I sometimes need in conversation with my friends or my girlfriend. Most of them are LGBTQ and I don't always want to address the group of men and women as a whole. I view my trans girlfriend as a woman because she has had all the surgeries but she still doesn't always have the same life experience I do as a cis woman. So I add cis to not feel her left out while talking about a experience of mine, like she uses trans to refer to her community.
But I of course don't use it if someone in the group doesn't feel comfortable with the term. I only use it in private conversation. I'm pretty sure a lot of people mis gender trans people behind their backs as well.323 Reply- +1 y
I don't mean it to offend anyone but just how the word trans might uncomfort a transgender what are we gonna do if the word cis uncomforts a person like me, so I'm suppose to classify them as a woman and biological woman as cis women? Why did the term cis become a term for biological genders, why can't biological genders just be a man and a woman and transgenders get the cis term, cause at this point this type of stuff just makes it seem like transgenders are trying to take the word woman and man and threw all the biological people aside and gave them a new term, I hope you see my point they I'd say if the term cis was used for transgenders instead I wouldn't have a problem but it seems like i personally think biological men and women are entitled to own the word man and woman, this cis stuff seems shady to me, if you can ask your trans girlfriend her opinion on this is like to know her thought
Opinion Owner+1 yMe and my girlfriend have had this conversation before and we find it a little funny that people get offended when you call them a biological man or woman. Biological and cis mean the same thing. To us it's just a shorter version. Like we use trans instead of transgender, cis is just short quick and easy.
In conversation with my girlfriend women means all women, trans and biological included. Like when talking about the people I date.
But there's a difference between dating cis women and trans women. This is where the cis comes in and makes the sentence more clear. I could say "a difference dating between women and trans women". Meaning I don't see my girlfriend as a "real" women when I do. That's why the term cis comes in handy.
It's not to push people aside but just to make conversation more clear. A blue car is still a car. A big car is still a car. A fast car is still a car. The things like cis and trans don't change your gender and they aren't trying to push you aside. At least in my experience.- +1 y
I guess that makes sense, I personally don't like it tho, being a man and woman is biological, being trans is being trans, I just hope it doesn't catch on to the point everyone is using it I guess
Opinion Owner+1 yAnd I also think transgender individuals who find the word trans disrespectful are in the wrong as well.
We can't pick and choose when it comes to adjectives.
The world would get confusing if people also stopped using the terms homosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual because they found those offensive as well.
I'd describe myself as pansexual, while I really hate the word and I really dislike the frying pan jokes, it's still what I am. At least is is the closest description wise to what I feel.- +1 y
The world got confusing when all this stuff started tbh, it got confusing after lesbians and gays in my opinion but yea sure
Opinion Owner+1 yIt does make sense to us. When it comes to dating I hate to surprise them with my dating history 😂 So I love to use the labels.
And also I love to use pride flags on dating profiles to make sure that the people I date are okay with my friends.
To me they make my life a lot easier.
Because people do get really confused when I talk about my exes.
Opinion Owner+1 yGays and lesbians have always been here. But we have made it easier for ourselves to communicate it with each other to find a partner easier.
- +1 y
Damn bro what are you into? Anything but biological males huh? 😂
- +1 y
And I know that's why I said it got confusing after gays and lesbians lol
Opinion Owner+1 yIt means that I'm really into anything with a pulse I guess 😂
I care about someones personality and not about what's between their legs. I can make dicks and pussys work and I enjoy both.
So I date men and women, including trans people and also bon binary people (people who don't identify as men nor women).- +1 y
So you'd date someone that classifies as a helicopter I guess, damn, you must have the most options tho so I guess that's a good thing, that is pretty crazy, and that's for clarifying, all these words confuse me lol
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah no. Non binary is as far as I'd go, gender wise people made up a lot more labels but they are confusing to me as well. I don't think I could deal with that. So no helicopters, animals, adult babies, demi boy, demi girls, gender fluid or anything like that. And you don't have to understand all these terms because I don't really understand them either 😂
- +1 y
One really caught my attention wtf is a gender fluid? So now people are liquid? Wtf, I don't know who's coming up with this stuff but damn, this stuff is wild, this stuff would confuse aliens even no lie
Opinion Owner+1 yPeople who are gender fluid switch their gender a lot. It could change any second based on the way they feel.
That is just a no for me.
Opinion Owner+1 yBut also this is not all new. Indigenous tribes and a few different communities do have a third gender presenting as both feminine and masculine. It can be traced back to 2000 BCE
- +1 y
Come on really 😂
People are just making things up, this kinda just tells you that all this more than two genders stuff is bullshit, I doubt it can be traced back to 2000BCE, I can say my genes trace back to dinosaurs and truly believe it but that doesn't make it true 😂
Opinion Owner+1 y
Opinion Owner+1 yLooking things up on google takes 2 seconds. Lots of papers and articles on gender within different communities.
- +1 y
I know these articles exist but if you think ima trust globesmart then you just don't know me at all anon 😂
Anyone could've wrote that article, I don't just trust any source and you shouldn't either, governments and labs are silent on this stuff, why? Cause they have no evidence on this stuff, some sources just aren't reliable, all it takes is for someone that believes they are gender fluid to write a bias article.
Opinion Owner+1 yThis is just a random example. I'm not a native English speaker so I have no clue what globe smart is. But there are thousands of articles and studies about this. But you can't deny the existence of two spirit or sekrata within indigenous communities.
And there's not really any scientific evidence? Because it's not something scientific. It's about the gender roles in a society. It's psychology because it's focused on behavior.- +1 y
So it's a mental thing not a biological thing is what you are saying? I agree, and yes articles copy each other, I'm sure there's thousands
Opinion Owner+1 yNo it's psychology. Group pressure is not some sort of mental disorder, it's just what happens when you group people together. Or in a group project that some people take the leadership role, some take the more creative role, etc. Being a leader in a group project is also not a mental disorder. It's just the role you take on.
Or the different type of friends you have. When going on a trip a male friend of mine is the "mother" of the group. He makes sure everyone has put on their sunscreen and he takes water bottles and food for everyone with him makes sure everyone eats and drinks.
Opinion Owner+1 yLeadership is also not in biology and not something you can prove with DNA or chromosomes. It's woven into someones personality or sometimes it's just because someone has to do it and they are forced to do it.
I mean I'm chill with it. I don't care too much about gender identity, so if someone else uses a term that I might not but is still accurate by definition, then what do I care? It's not like "cis" is really an insult or anything. It also does have relevant meaning at times, so if it's the most accurate word, then it's the most accurate word.

8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Cis is a useful word for specifying your identity. If you dont like how it sounds or whatever then sucks to be you quite frankly. Its not like someone chooses to be "Gay" because they like the sound that the word makes more than the word "straight". Quite frankly, grow up and stop bitching.

Well there is no gay gene so one cannot be born gay. Homosexuality is a learned behavior based on environmental factors just like everything else. No one will acknowledge this for fear of being ‘canceled’ by the LBGTQXYZ overlords.
- +1 y
@Jonnyanalog While you are correct that there is no "gay gene", its not just environmental factors either. Homosexuality can still be genetic/biological even if it is not something you would inherit through your genes since there is much more going on growing up than just your DNA as demonstrated by the differences in genetically identical twins.
+1 yI’m out offended because I don’t give those degenerates any of my emotional power. It’s a stupid attempt to classify being normal with some weird term and a pejorative by some of them. But these are mentally ill people using this term. Why would i care about them.

- +1 y
Yea but they seem to be getting to the children
If someone called me that I would honestly give them a weird look and wouldn’t go out of my way to associate with them. Trans is used just to specify someone as other, you’re choosing to express yourself different to what you biologically are in that particular case. I do use it to specify people when I describe them, but otherwise it doesn’t really matter what someone wants to be and I use whatever pronouns they want to go by out of respect to them the same way someone shouldn’t force labels/terminology onto others.
10 ReplyPeople who use terms like 'cis' deserve a smack across the face! Isn't it funny how many who 'identify' as whatever the hell they think they are at any given moment in time, will become (or pretend to become) offended if you don't use THEIR preferred terms, but will without hesitation call normal people whatever crap they think is appropriate?
Hypocrisy at its finest!
21 Reply- +1 y
Yea that's a big reason why it pissed me off as well, it's pretty fucked up 😂
+1 yI feel like that is oftentimes being used as a covert insult.
How are we to be blamed for being born a woman or a man?
If we have no control over it, it makes no sense to insult us about it...
But it annoys me, not offends. It really just sounds ridiculous to me. :)

A woman is a woman. Not a cis woman or birthing person or menstruating person.

What's more annoying is the wannabe intellectuals will define it for you like we all haven't heard it over and over from the leftest types since 2016-ish. We get it... they think they're special and they want to call normal people names. The virtue signalers that want to be normal placate to it which just makes it worse. I don't care whats in your head and how you feel about other people. That isn't knowable and relevant to me, what matters before I get to know you is what you have in your pants.
That is what i call gender which is a synonym for Sex, a word that otherwise refers to the act which is possible if both parties are not the same.
That most cultures around the world have found certain behaviors and attitudes better suit particular sexes success is an expected and naturally helpful arrangement. Women should act like women and men like men not because its what they might randomly choose but because it is helpful to them being successful in life.10 Reply- 371 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
+1 yI get offended not only if they call me that way but any man or woman and I hear it. Normal man or women dont need a special adjective, only the abnormal ones. And calling somebody a cis man means not accepting the creation order of God. Somebody like that fights against God, the king of kings.
31 Reply- +1 y
Exactly, people are changing the original gender and I don't fuck wit it
+1 yDon't care much but if someone wants to know my identity, I identify as "male". I'm only willing to disclose my orientation to potential romantic partners in which case I'll identify as "straight". If a potential romantic partner asks, I would also say I am biologically male.
The term "cis" seems like a waste of time to me since it describes the great majority of people.
30 ReplyI prefer the term Hetrosexual straight or normal, my pronouns are he/him. If the lgbtq refuse to refer to me this way then it's a hetrophobic microaggression.
31 Reply- +1 y
Exactly, I just don't like the hypocrisy of them wanting to be called what they want and then have a problem when I stand for my own term, so far no hypocrisy has formed and hopefully it stays that way

+1 yFor the people that get offended grow up. This doesn't really have any impact on your life. The people that have a problem with this talk about it the most and irritate themselves.
Also, if you don't understand, and claim to not get it, or can't keep up, stop acting stupid. Take ten minutes to read something and then you'll understand how it works. Then you can still choose to believe what you want because no one can stop you. Just stop whining.
I work in a very diverse place, live in a very diverse space, and in normal every day conversation the only ones bringing this up are conservatives. They all work themselves up. That's on you. Grow up and mind your business. No one is firing you. If you're getting fired for discriminating someone because of all the legal reasons you can be fired, well that's also on you.
Everyone has a right to be happy so shut up haha. Have a good day everyone

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yYes, because "cis" is intended to be offensive. If you have a problem with being called "cisgender" then you should get why trans people don't like being called "transgender"
"Cis is only offensive if trans is offensive" they think they are being clever. But really, they just resent the fact that normal people aren't suffering from the same mental illness.35 Reply- +1 y
But trans isn't offensive to them, they claim to be transgenders, now calling trans a man when they think they are a woman is offensive I'm sure but they claim to be trans and I don't deny that, they are trans
Opinion Owner+1 yBut a lot of them don't want to be called trans. They just want to be called men/women. And I just don't get it, because I think calling them a biological man/woman would just be discrediting the real issues trans people go through.
- +1 y
Forget the issues the important picture is that it's discrediting real men and women, its not possible to change your gender, it's like calling an apple a pear and if you don't call it a pair even tho it's an Apple, you are the problem, it's delusion bro
Opinion Owner+1 yI never disagreed. But that's why they don't like being called trans. It's pointing out that they aren't normal men/women. I'm just pointing out the why calling normal people "cis" isn't clever like they think.
- +1 y
I guess it isn't, so normal to them is not Normal, got it lol
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yJust focus on your goal. The world is full of things that will upset you. Based on the law of polarity that is natural. However, you've been given the ability to choose what you will focus on. No point in focusing on things that upset you. It's just a losing game.
Opinion Owner+1 yThere are things that are upsetting if you focus on them. They're suppose to be there believe it or not. Don't focus on those things. Once you accept that those things are natural and suppose to be there you can stop trying to fix them and just focus on something better.
- +1 y
Natural? There's nothing natural about this
Opinion Owner+1 yThere are naturally positive ideas and negative ideas. You can choose to look at something negatively or you can choose to look at something positively. The negative side is suppose to be there. If you look for what's right you'll find it. If you look for what's wrong you'll find it. It's duality or polarity. You cannot fix anything outside of yourself. You can influence things but we can only fix ourselves. Once you accept that there are negative perspectives or ideas and that they're suppose to be here due to the law of polarity you stop looking at those things like invaders and more like neighbors. You see them but you don't have to fight them. You just simply shift your focus back to the things you love. Creation is finished; If not in one state in another. Everything you see is surely suppose to exist. Whether it's best in physical form or ethereal is another conversation. Stop trying to fix what's wrong and focus on what's right. We can only fix ourselves anyway.

u +1 yNot at all, since there’s nothing offensive about it. Cis man/woman simply means that your gender identity is the same as your sex assigned at birth. Personally don’t see how that could be offensive?
35 Reply- +1 y
I don't get any of that stuff, I'd rather just be called a man

And you’re not assigned a gender, you’re born one or the other, it’s truly that simple
- +1 y
You’re right, you’re not assigned a gender, you’re assigned a sex.
+1 yNo, that's fine. I know Latin, and "cis" is the opposite of "trans". So this is an efficient way to say "not trans". While a large majority is cis the word can occasionally make sense when discussing matters of gender diversity.

669 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Simple context.
I have been in enough LGBTQ groups to know it is primarily used as a slur there.
I have also been in enough academia to know it is a useful term in its own right.
As a rule of thumb if someone goes out of their way to use the label when there is no utility in doing so, it comes with a negative undertone. If it serves an actual purpose, it tends to be fine.10 Reply5.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. No, but it does seem superfluous unless you're discussing trans rights or something similar. It's not nearly as bad as using the prefix trans- for someone when it's not (or shouldn't be) the subject of discussion.
22 Reply- +1 y
Yep smh
+1 yCis is just an additional descriptor here. But to be fair, I imagine trans men would also just like to be called what they are, men.
323 Reply- +1 y
You believe trans men are men?

Facts be facts.
- +1 y
Yea but what facts, last time I heard, trans men have vaginas, just saying you know
- +1 y
Definitions of gender and gender identity.
- +1 y
Oh and apparently according to a definition of sex too, how neat.
- +1 y
Isn't gender identity just based on what that person believes tho?
- +1 y
So from Gender we got two definitions, one of which is just gender identity, linking to its definition.
"the behavioral, cultural, or psychological traits typically associated with one sex"
"a person's internal sense of being male, female, some combination of male and female, or neither male nor female"
And then for sex we got:
"the sum of the structural, functional, and sometimes behavioral characteristics of organisms that distinguish males and females"
So the answer to that is sorta, but it would be based on the sum of their traits and characteristics, which would be based on something factual and observable that is more than just their specific genitalia. - +1 y
But what exactly proofs other genders exist, I didn't know that for example gender fluid supposedly exists which by their definition, their gender changes 😂
I learned this from making this post, it supposedly changes to how they are feeling at that moment, if this is said to be a different gender then I kinda call bullshit on all the genders that aren't male and female lol - +1 y
I think that just more means they're a more or less equal mixture of both male and female, and how they present kinda depends how they feel at the time.
You can't call BS on there being more genders than just male and female, as there are more than 2 sexes already, even under the definition based on it being solely about your body, There's already a 3rd sex, intersex, that biologically exists, which consists of all people with chromosome mixtures like xxx, xxy, xyy, etc. And then, given that like a rock doesn't have a sex, that's a 4th category right there I would dub personally as asex. And the only reason we're at 4 is because we chose to categorize that way for intersex. The fact that they're all different genetic makeups means they're all biologically different, and in some scenarios you would even treat them medically different. Arguably, xxx should be it's own sex, xyy, xxy, etc. they're all different. - +1 y
Yep I got lost in all the chromosomes stuff, what's the difference between a gender and a sex?
- +1 y
Sex includes physical and functional characteristics, as well as mental characteristics. The sum of everything. Gender would entirely refer to the mental characteristics. Similar concepts, but slightly different.
- +1 y
But if everyone is made from a man and a woman then wouldn't that mean no one is biologically a man or a woman? Since they all have different levels of male and female genes, if anything it will make someone more masculine or feminine but that's still within to genders or sexes or whatever, why exactly is it considered a new gender or sex or whatever lol
- +1 y
No it'd be the sum of your parts for the sex part, and just the mental traits for your brain. So if you have male physical traits, and male mental traits, I mean you're just a dude. And if you have more male traits than female traits, the sum would still essentially be you're a dude because you're more guy than girl.
From the genetic standpoint, which I think where you're a bit confused, your body develops based on two genes of the many you get, one you get from your mom, who is an xx, and one you get from a guy, who is a xy. They each basically give a letter (so women, typically, are only giving an x) and that determines whether you get a penis or a vagina. Some people somehow end up with more letters, I don't know how that happens, that's outside my understanding but it does happen. Another fun fact, everyone actually begins as a girl when they first start developing and then become a guy physically speaking if they got the y chromosome from their dad.
And this is just our understanding of dna, which we only understand so much. Given there's so many people who have a lot of mental characteristics of female or male despite physically having the parts of the other, pretty fair to say there might be more genes at play in our dna that actually determines that stuff, since our brain also comes from our dna. - +1 y
I've been trying to make sense of this all for almost two days now and I just don't think it's gonna happen, ima stop wasting your time missy 😂
- +1 y
Well, kinda fair I guess, maybe the most important parts to take away is its all covered by facts, and there's still more to learn about ourselves scientifically speaking.
- +1 y
I personally don't just believe any article online so maybe it's facts? I don't know
- +1 y
Ain't no article, just definitions of words and science. Can look 'em up in any dictionary or science text book (well, science text book has gotta be like, relating to biology/dna)
- +1 y
Have you look them up yourself and seen them?
- +1 y

- +1 y

You can also easily google into nowadays.
