That’s a huge precedent, right wingers. Though you guys do most of the political shenanigans.
3.7K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Technically yes if they’re running for president (really president is the only case where a politician not in power is above the law). Declare to run for president in prison. Eugene debs in 1920 and Joe exotic now (Yes the tiger king).
now this doesn’t mean that a politician not in office can go murder someone but for stuff like misuse of classified documents definitely. You can blame James Colmy for that one. If he had prosecuted Hillary Clinton back in 2016 regardless if it was October then the Trump classified documents would just be a normal case. But because James Colmy didn’t prosecute Hillary Clinton and Trump pretty much did the same thing as Hillary Clinton did in 2016 this means by the same standard which Colmy set up you can’t go after Trump. Either both go to jail or no one goes to jail for classified documents during a presidential campaign. by the way Trump had all rights to order Hillary Clinton to be prosecuted after the election. But you’ll notice she is walking around free. The standard that applied to Clinton has to apply to Trump otherwise it looks like a political hit job just like Putin did to Aleksey Navalny. Biden is the equivalent of Putin in this case.02 Reply- +1 y
You’re not entirely wrong, Yes if none of this was published and everything was fair and Clinton would have been prosecuted unless she won in which case she could just pardon herself. If she won. It’s not totally illogical political is different than legal. We’re at a point where Joe Hunter Hillary and Donald would be going to jail. Because it would be under 1 standard. Just we’re here nothing we can do about it.
Honestly we should be having an election between Gavin Newson And Ron DeSantis but we’re unfortunately not basing our politics on policy we’re basing our politics on personality, but even your side doesn’t like Joe Biden our side of the Trump. Honestly run Gavin Newson. Trump newsom would win. Ren, Newsom, and DeSantis that would be a very interesting battle. It’s like Prime The Rock vs Prime John Cena but that’s not what we’re gonna get we’re gonna get old age Undertaker vs old age Hulk Hogan

+1 yLiberals and socialists in this country relentlessly going after Trump are just making him more popular and more powerful. They're turning him into Obi-Wan Kenobi ahead of the 2024 election. I've been posting this on GaG for over a year now, and national polling numbers are proving me correct. Keep up the great work. 👍

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yIt’s ironic that they’re crying political persecution now when they all backed a campaign that was based on jailing HRC. They didn’t have a problem with the idea of prosecuting a political opponent then. Trump has made his own bed. There is significant evidence of actual crimes and he should face consequences just like anyone else.

If Hillary’s criminality is so evident, why do you think Trump didn’t do as he promised and “lock her up?” - +1 y
@Juxtapose
So what are you saying? Trump was POTUS. Was he was so weak in his position that he didn’t have the power to prosecute her?
- +1 y
@Juxtapose
So your choice POTUS was impotent? And you support his return?
They do say that Trump is a weak mans idea of a strong man.
Appears true - +1 y
@Juxtapose
I didn’t call you weak. I said he’s a weak man’s idea of a strong man. If you identify with that comment, you can’t blame me for that.
Opinion Owner+1 y@Juxtapose Clinton aides destroyed old cell phones by smashing them long before there was a federal investigation. I do the same when I get a new phone. Data can be retrieved even from a wiped phone. It’s a generally smart thing to do with old devices. What illegal activity was she hiding? Your claim is 100% partisan speculation. They found classified information on her server anyway, however it was embedded in the body of e-mails and didn’t have classified markings that would alert to its status. In the end, it was careless but there was no way to prove criminal intent in a court of law. It’s why Trump’s administration didn’t prosecute her. Trump could have simply cooperated with the National Archives and returned all of the materials he had (thus making criminal intent impossible to establish) yet he chose not to. He thumbed his nose at the rule of law and forced the government’s hand. He can’t cry about being prosecuted when he had the opportunity to easily avoid it. That’s such a snowflake move.

@NYCQuestions1976 get a load of this shit lol.

@RainbowMarinade The President Of The United States isn't the Attorney General. No sitting president can "prosecute" anyone.
@Anonymous Smashing privately owned cellphones isn't the same as destroying an entire government server with government information and e-mails that was surely funded with our taxpayer dollars... and Hillary Clinton actually admitted to destroying.
@Juxtapose Fun entertaining stuff. I'm still wondering why no one in the government and media and technology industry and current administration seemingly have zero interest in the Epstein/Maxwell list being released. Why is that? Where is that list? - +1 y
@NYCQuestions1976 they're all guilty and brainwash people like her.

Yeah this is unprecedented in American history and these charges are completely bogus. They're even trying to bring him up on some anti-free speech bail charges right now which are going to be dismissed by scotus if it goes that far 😂
Trying to indict him for six lifetimes worth of crimes that he didn't commit, it's absolutely disgraceful to go after your top political opponent like this. People criticized Trump for threatening to lock Hillary Clinton up and then in the same breath cheered for Donald Trump's indictments.
Fuck the woke crowd, they're cowards. - +1 y
@Juxtapose Please, just read the latest indictment. He and his co-conspiritors spent weeks getting to the point of needing to use violence to stop the certification, interfering with Secretaries of State doing their jobs, getting fraudulent slates of electors in the hope that "You're too honest" Pence would go along with his unlawful scheme, and much more. All that well after his legal avenues to challenge the election had been exhausted.
The reason he's not being charged with incitement on Jan 6 is that there were already people determined to attack the Capitol on his behalf. The fact remains that nobody would have been there if he hadn't called them there.

I don't need to read legal jargon to know that this is a fucking witch hunt. I have seen their claims and then in the next breath saw their claims disproved very clearly. They even tried to rope Tim Pool in as somebody who is an extreme conservative who was directly involved xD The dude is a liberal 🤡
- +1 y
@Juxtapose Come back when you've read the indictment. It's very clear. You're talking nonsense.
- +1 y
@Juxtapose You're never going to read the indictment, are you? You'll never discuss the actual legal situation because you know it's indefensible, and because it's more fun to spread lies.
- +1 y
@Juxtapose What corruption? Be specific.
Me, I'm looking at a 45 page document full of explicit details of crimes that Trump committed leading up to Jan 6; it explicitly states that he had the right to lie about the election, what he didn't have the right to do was corruptly attempt to steal the presidency. There's fraud, there's attempts to disrupt government functions, there's evidence from Trump's lawyers themselves, there are witnesses...
You: One unconfirmed tip to the FBI out of Ukraine from around the time Trump and Giuliani were asking for made up dirt on Biden from Ukraine.
You're not serious. - +1 y
@Juxtapose I love how you hate pro journalism but then link to the NY Post to prove a point. So many things wrong with you pal.

The left was the one that set that precedent when they tried to impeach Trump for asking Zelensky to investigate what the Bidens were doing in Burisma, claiming political prosecution, not the right. However, that only works when that politician was running for president. Biden was not at the time and that was why the impeachment failed.
That was probably the entire reason Biden was in the race in the first place, to prevent Trump from further investigating the issue.
00 Reply4.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Going after your top political opponent on bogus charges is pretty bogus man.
And if past presidents went after each other? Obama would have tried Bush for war crimes and then Trump would have Obama tried for war crimes.

Biden has loads of evidence against him. He's probably the most corrupt president I have ever seen in my entire life.

You know it's August, not June any more, right?
You've got: One first Trump impeachment era hearsay tip from Ukraine to the FBI. Nothing else. The latest star witness confirmed that the Bidens did not discuss business on the phone. The other "whistleblower" is on the run having been indicted last November.
Have you read any of the indictments against Trump? Seen the pictures of where the documents were kept? Read about how Trump ordered that the documents be hidden from the FBI and that the subpeona'd video footage of that obstruction of justice be deleted? Seen how he's allowed to lie until he's blue in the face about the election, he's just not allowed to intimidate witnesses (another crime). - +1 y
@goaded your information is dead wrong, a business associate of Hunter openly admitted to having Joe Biden be put on speaker phone numerous times and used as leverage by Hunter.
God there's so much wrong with that second paragraph I can't even get into it. You even think free speech is intimidation.. no lol.
If Trump was actually guilty they would have remanded him, they are not confident on their charges. Look at what they did to the people in January 6th, they lock them up for 2 years without fucking mercy. Believe me, if they have dirt on Trump they will snatch him up immediately. - +1 y
I know what Archer said, and it included that the Bidens only had casual conversations, not talking about business. Hunter used it to convince people to give him money, but that makes him a businessman, and he's never been in the government.
Surely even you can understand "if you testify against me, I'll kill your puppies" would not be "free speech" but witness tampering. Trump's not been accused of that yet, but he's obviously trying to get a rise out of the prosecutors (and his voice is heard by millions). The prosecutors aren't willing to play his game.
"If Trump was actually guilty they would have remanded him". OMG. No. He has expensive lawyers and is unlikely to flee the country.
I know you guys would love for this to be about free speech, but it's absolutely not. - +1 y
Hunter Biden has never been in government. How is anything he does without the knowledge of his father "government corruption"? You have no proof of anything the President's done wrong.
Do you understand that "if you testify against me, I'll kill your puppies" would not be "free speech" but witness tampering? It's really not that difficult. How about "go and kill that man"?
"It absolutely is about free speech and if he was guilty he would be remanded 100%.". Both ridiculous and wrong in every detail.

They are only pretending but they really would like to get rid of him. President Trump is a wild card and nobody can predict what he will do next. That makes it pretty hard for the Washington insiders to do all the backroom deals that go on that would land you and I ibn jail if we ever did it.

@exitseven I love how you know what’s going on in their heads.
I rather judge by their actions, which is ignore all the illegal shit and racist lambast. If Repubs wanted to get rid of him why didn’t the Senate take up Impeachment? Both times?
