President Biden has sent thousands of Marines and Saylors to the Straight of Hormones to keep Iran from taking oil tankers
Marines and Saylors will be put on ship going through the strait. The problem Iran can take out a engine and let the ship drifting into Iran waters with American soldiers in Iran.

I say this to say biden wants a war he think he can be president again since war time President win the 2nd term.

This happened in 2016 where with engine problems a boat of US troops drafted into Iran waters but the current president then had got them out in 20 hours due to a good comincitation. Today we do not have that.

First of all, if Biden wanted to start a war with Iran he would just skip the middleman and just send a carrier task force. This is intended to make it theoretically impossible for Iran to engage civilian ships that has American military personnel onboard. And no, Iran can't touch those ships if there are Americans onboard, not even to take out the engines.

Do I agree with this? Meh.. Its not the best idea, but also not the worst. If you want to address the problem of Iran attacking and capturing civilian tankers then this is A way as opposed to sitting on your hands. It does have the chance of escalation, most likely from Iran making a mistake they never intended. But that is also why Iran is probably going to stay the hell away from those ships if it is made clear which ones has US personnel on them and which does not.
