A politician offers to set you up on a date. Would you accept?

According to the BBC news, Hillary Clinton offered to set up a Welsh minister on a blind date with a gay International leader.

Now we could speculate who that "gay international leader," is but we'd just get a list of names no ones heard of.

Politicians, regardless of side are rarely trustworthy but they do tend to have rich powerful friends so I think it would be foolish not to accept the offer and climb that social ladder.

But would you take up the offer?

If I knew the politician personally, sure. It's important to remember that 99% of what we think of a politician is really just what we think about an improv character they are playing. You can't "be yourself" as a politician or you will be immediately ignored as boring. Reagan demonstrated the power of being a politician who is a skilled actor above all and since then the fact is if you aren't doing that, you lose. Indeed, the main reason democrats keep losing despite the overwhelming support for their policies is because democrats are, pretty universally, bad at acting. Obama was good at it and won because of it. But if you are a Democrat who is good at acting you generally just go to Hollywood and become an actor instead of going through law school or whatever to take on all the risks of being a politician. That's one of the fundamental flaws of our political system, in fact. It is set up that you can't run for office unless you can afford to lose, and that's really not many people.

If it was President Trump I would. He knows a lot of hot looking women. I'm sure he would set me up with somebody nice. Hillery would set me up with some liberal moonbat with bad breath.
