People think I mean teased, which I was, but I was also tortured. Why can't people believe it happened? We all know torture exists and we've heard nightmare stories about someone else's life that we just accept. So why do people find torture harder to believe? Is it because it was done solely for sadistic pleasure? Is it because I refused to press charges?

Refusing to press charges does make things harder to believe. You’re basically asking us to take your word on something that’s pretty wild.
There’s an old adage: extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
There was, but It happened 15 years ago
Because you're an anonymous poster on a shit-tier advice website giving no specifics to corroborate your story.
32 year old guy, the specifics are taping me from shoulders to feet in duct tape and then unloading an airsoft gun at point blank range.
Where? By Whom? Why wouldn't you go to police?
The tape was wrapped completely around me so my arms and legs were together and the only way I could move was to fall and roll which doesn't open doors
At a college, people on my wrestling team, because they were about to apply for college and I didn't want thrm to have a record, especially when it probably wouldn't be a juvie one.
If they had done it to anyone who isn't legally able to advocate for themselves or to an animal, they'd be in jail. There was video evidence. There was eyewitness testimony. In other words, the facts alone were indisputable. Yet you can't prosecute if the victim refuses
That's not true at all. If there is enough evidence and the crime is severe, the victim's wishes are irrelevant.
Not as much as tv shows. I was asked by my parents, the school's administrators, the police, and several psychologists about whether I wanted to testify and why I didn't want to. As there was no intimidation and I knew that there was no chance that they would win if it went to trial, my choice to not press charges was upheld. They got kicked off the team anyway and suspended for a month pending expulsion, but ultimately weren't.
