What do you guys think about Thao sentencing to five years in state prison for his role in George Floyd death?

He will be getting nearly five years in state prison. He was the one holding the people back and didn’t kneel on Floyd

I am not fond of police behavior, and was once beaten in the back seat of a police car with three other asshole cops in the car looking on. My 'crime' was disturbing the peace in a drive in restaurant. I was 20 years old. The same cop had done the same thing many times before, and I just did not know he was a thug.

The guy that held the crowd back was 'complicit' in Floyd's death, and I am also not a big fan of George Floyd or the kind of criminal he was. Thao, if he had any balls, would have stopped what was going on and prevented the death and saved us all a whole lot of the bullshit that followed the death. Thao had no balls at all and was too chicken shit to stop it for fear of pissing off the other thugs present in the killing.

With all of that said, I graduated from the Orange County Sheriffs Academy several years ago, and what I saw there was enough to discourage anyone from becoming a police officer. Many of the 'training Officers' were 'thugs' also.

George Floyd was degenerate trash and the world is a better place without him. That said, halfway braindead cops aren't capable of determining that and carrying out summary executions on the street. That's not how the Constitution works. These guys were bullies with a badge, but considering how soft on crime we are, it's the only thing that kept there from being more victims of Floyd. Proper punishment? I don't know the jurisdiction. Whatever the penalty is for dumping without a license seems most appropriate, with extra time added for breaking the law as a cop.

he's complicit in the unlawful killing of a human being. so yes it seems fair that he face consequences.

Everyone on the scene of the crime and a jury of his peers recognized an unlawful killing of a citizen. What would a reasonable person do if someone was resisting arrested with " i can't breath i can't breath!"

A reasonable person would let him breath. If thao was a reasonable responsible police officer he should recognized something is fucked up. As much as his peers on the scene and his trial of jury would hold other peers accountable.

Definitely not enough. He saw someone being murdered and helped the process of George Floyd being murdered.

He deserved to be sentence to at least 15 years.

5 years is too little and with good conduct, he will be out in 3 years.
