Would it be illegal to scam a scammer?

I have noticed there's lot of scammers on Instagram and I know I can most likely outsmart these idiots cause they don't seem very bright, I can make myself sound so naive and then act like I'm going to give them money but the money app in my country requires a capacity or some bullshit like that to then have them send money to add up to that quantity so I can send them the money in all, it's just when they do send me the money, I just will just stop responding and keep what they send me, would something like this be illegal, which by the way since i have a computer i can change the digits of my account to make it look like i have a lot of money, i take a picture and send it to them and their greed will just somewhat blind them, I can outsmart a scammer and uno reverse card their shit and scam them, illegal? 🤔

Scammer payback on youtube does something similar but they help people get there money back. If you are intercepting stolen money your still stealing from the original person. Stolen income also needs to be taxed.
