I am seeing fewer and fewer (mostly pink) lefties arguing on GAG nowadays. There are few mainstay leftist blue ones out there still. I won’t name names. But I always can predict their response before I even read their comments if it’s about social issues.

Anyway leftist wokesters drive me nuts but I rarely block them unless they are consistently trolling. But I have to wonder if they have abandoned discourse because they can’t handle being disagreed with. I might hate someone’s opinion but that doesn’t mean I always immediately hate them. There is a difference.

Actually you are completely right. Also how often does someone change their mind about a social issue after reading posts/comments about it on GAG? So you got a point about it being an exercise in futility.

Plus if someone just labels, insults or blocks you right off the bat (people are very prone to doing that nowadays) it actually just pushes you further in the opposite direction.

The thing is I don’t automatically insult, label and/or block them when post something ridiculous. I might vehemently disagree with them but I don’t attack them personally unless they attack me personally first (which they are prone to doing).
