How many moderate democrats are finally having enough with their own party’s radical policies and ideologies?

I’ve met a minority of democrats who privately believe all the modern trans ideology is completely sick and deranged. I got a co-worker who is lifelong democrat who has two teenager (girl and boy) going to a California HS.

He is really pissed off at idea of biological male using the restroom/locker room when his daughter could be in there. It hasn’t happened yet but he confided with me that the idea of that makes him very queasy.

Yet he is too afraid to speak up about it. He fears reprisal among his peers, colleagues and in the work place.

I just have to wonder how many moderate democrats are getting beyond fed up with the modern democratic parties insane views and ideologies. RFK is a great example. He was a life long democrat who recently went independent and ultimately endorsed Trump.

In his speech about suspending his campaign he talked about how the democrats (not the republicans) attacked him incessantly during his campaign. He was surprised that that the GOP left him alone. They did everything they could to limit his interviews and to keep him off the ballots. He’s disgusted with how much they are pushing censorship.

But I am really curious how much more moderate democrats can take with their party

I turned my back on the Dem party about 3 years ago. The party as a whole has gone insane. Repubs almost as bad but in different ways.

I am really sick of leftists assuming that anybody who votes republican is a knuckle dragging gun toting maga cap wearing racist bigot. Not all leftists but way, way too many.

They think that conservatives rationalize and think of the world the same way they do, but their “evil”. In reality most conservatives just want to be left the f*ck alone. We hate government intervention and control in our lives.

What I mean about being “left alone”:

- We don’t want to be raped by exorbitant taxes.
- We are generally much more independent and hate able bodied adults who look to government hand outs with a since of entitlement.
- We believe in freedom of speech. You don’t see conservatives arguing censorship of leftist rhetoric despite how much we dislike it. But liberals are getting more and more Orwellian when it comes to censoring conservatives. What’s going on in England is horrifying.
- We believe in free enterprise. The ability to start a business, work hard to get ahead and innovation. Leftists instead think that the government should take care of all your needs via basic income and government jobs.
- Most of us are NOT racists. But when liberals act racist by openly disparaging white men for JUST existing (critical race theory insanity) and DEI (which is also racist towards its core) we get pissed off and justifiably so.

Above all conservatives do NOT WANT COMMUNISM. It’s been tried in history and it’s resulted in absolute destruction and misery. Communism has killed a lot more people then fascism.

It appears Trump is positioning himself as the anti deep state president and his newly minted supporters align with that world view.

Well if ever have hope of escaping bípartisan system (which is dividing and destroying our country) someone has to start somewhere.
