Obviously I’m quite satisfied we’re past the days of George Bush, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney and John McCain and just all the interventionist war mongering Republicans in general.

But are people on the left now just actually really fed up with the Democrat establishment?

Is the left now having its own “populist” movement becoming more mainstream so to speak?

Or is this all just a media fad that’ll just blow over?

Anyway, I’ve just seen a bunch of people on Reddit btching about the Democrat establishment lately but obviously Reddit is a bit of an echo chamber so I was more just wondering if this had any basis in reality on the actual state of the party.

So how do left leaning people nowadays actually feel about the Democrat party?

Are most left wing people now actually sympathetic to Bernie Sanders, AOC and the “new left” so to speak?

The Democrats are mostly collaborationist with the Republican party. Chuck Schumer and 10 other Democrats voted along aside the Republicans to keep the government open.

Chuck Schumer is a collaborationist. There are Left-wingers in America, but there is no party that represents them. Bernie Sanders is doing his Fight the Oligarchy tour with AOC, but they don't have a donors giving them money. Most donors stopped funding the democratic party. The democrats is a dead party. Again there are people who are Left-Wingers who have Left-Wing beliefs, but no party to represent them. It is just the Republican party and controlled opposition. The leader of the Democrat party Chuck Schumer is a collaborationist.

It's always been like that. Democrat Republican it is the same thing. George W Bush made his no child gets left behind where the teachers couldn't fail the students, so the teachers said they had ADHD which is why you see cognitive disorders being a huge thing in the USA.

The parents would bring their kids to psych doctors and put the kids on ADHD medications back when George W Bush was in office around the early 2000s. Those kids mostly boys developed psychotic disorders like schizophrenia when they grew up and a bunch of mental problems. And George W Bush probably knocked down the towers during 9/11 and caused the recession during 2008. What do you see happening right now? a potential recession just like the 2008 recession under Bush.

That is something expect a feminist far-left president to do not a Republican. The two parties Democrat and Republican are pretty much the same thing. When people get tired of Republicans being openly cruel people will want Democrat who are secretly cruel and nicer about it. The pattern is going to repeat over and over again.

Yeah, but a lot of Gen Z men never lived through Bush so they think a Republican president is a good idea because they don't like the radical feminist and far-leftist. But it is no better under Republican presidents. They are just two sides of the same coins. I know a lot of guys who did good on the ADHD meds when they were younger and got into honor roles and became psychotic when they became adults. It was sad to see.

I guess you would say I've moved right, to the center. I'm embarrassed to say I voted for Biden/Harris in 2019, but I refused to vote for either Harris or Trump in 2024. What was the final straw? Where do I begin?

The left has nothing to offer Americans today, literally. They are lost in the woods and showing no signs they even want to try to find their way out. Their platform for the Harris campaign was anti-Trump. That's it, literally nothing else. They were not pro ANYTHING that most Americans care about. And with the things for which they were "pro", they were on the wrong side, and still are. They are pro trans women competing in women's sports, and pro illegal immigration. Seriously?

Trump is an asshole, but at least he's trying to fix what's broken in America, and the world for that matter. Musk is a dick, but he's rooting out fraud, waste and abuse and saving taxpayers $ billions going to complete bullshit causes. His methods are uncool sometimes, but thinking outside the box and doing things differently is what we need. The status quo is NOT what we need.

And Harris? WTF? She was literally the worst candidate imaginable. I hope I don't need to explain why.

When I think of today's Democrat party, I think of ineffectiveness and dishonesty most of all. It bears no resemblance to the party I used to support. I'm still a registered Democrat only because I've been too lazy to switch to Libertarian. But I will before the next election because the Democrat party has gone so far in the wrong direction, and shows no sign of learning ANYTHING, I know with 100% confidence they will not be able to turn their massive ship around and get it back to port in time, even it they decided to pull their collective head out of their ass. All I see today is Democrats continuing to choose where they put their support based on what Trump does, even if it puts them on the wrong side of every fucking issue.

By the way, I live in California, and I'm seriously considering leaving the state. I love California, but it has become a complete dumpster fire. I don't mean to be insensitive about the fires earlier this year, but I see them as the culmination of years of irresponsible leadership, and leaders being elected for the wrong reasons. California voters had become complacent in their blind support for certain causes, and they were the wrong causes. I have been guilty of that myself. No more.

You talk about different reasons for voting but please name a single one that actually makes sense outside of being hatefull? Econimically Trump is the worst you could have chosen, a failed buisness man that failed twice to better the economy of the U. S.; national security voting for someone who specifically doesn't care about laws and is a convicted crimimal in my mind doesn't fit well with makIng other uphold laws, quite the opposite.
