You can’t help it. As you get older, and younger people watch the way you live your life, it’s not your decision whether or not they pick you as a role model. You may be bad, you may be good, but if you are chosen then you are chosen. You’ll just have to accept that fact and make the best of things.

Trying to be the best version of yourself helps you in all areas of your life, including being a better role model for those who look up to you. It’s how I try to live my life and I encourage everyone to do the same.

To be fair it's a fucking cop out. You're too poor/insecure as a parent to be role model, so you find others.
