You do all understand that the Green New Deal never passed, right? Pence is promising to repeal something that isn't a law. He knows that. Basically, he's assuming Republican voters are all idiots.

The far right are using it as a wedge issue, but 80% of Germans understand that human-caused global warming is real, and that renewable energy is one of the best tools to reduce emissions (insulation and other ways to reduce energy use are also widespread or mandated). It's what happens in a country that still accepts facts.
