Talking as someone's whose parents are both immigrants from Central Asia with 90%+ Muslim population, but this region is really soft Muslim and secular countries!

Small part due to religion itself, lion's share due to deeply un (der) educated and too narrow-minded people. Those who move countries only to live just exactly like they were doing at home with exactly same thoughts and customs regardless of age, sex or level of education should just go back where they came from in my opinion. If you live or plan to live in X country permanently then you must do your best to fit into that society. And this means that you cannot separate your life into two parts: 1, for home with fam; 2, everywhere else outside your house.

1. Language?
Parents taught me, but we use both languages at home. Never know when it could come handy..
2. Customs?
Religious ones are so-so, not even my parents are fond of them too much. Nationals are important for them, we celebrate both countries' national holidays.
3. Clothes and looks?
It's funny bc niqab, burka and long beard are actually banned in Central Asia, rather traditional clothes with national characteristics are allowed. In terms of any Western country, I do not think banning is a must, but wearing them CASUALLY should not be encouraged.
4. Mindset?
Well, as a 2nd gen immigrant, I see myself inheriting many things from my parents and ways in which they react or think differently than people here. But all in all, I did develop understanding to both ways.
+Terrorism?
Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims sadly.

Think of moving permanently to a different country and not even planning to return ever as packing your luggage for holiday. You might want to stuff your whole wardrobe into that, but ultimately going to take the most important ones. And this is the same with your/your parents' cultural background. Keep only the most important things and root out everything that would make it way harder for you and your offsprings to fit into that society you're moving into. I highly doubt the mentality of I want my kids never to forget where they came and teach them in a way as if we're in country of origin is helpful at all.

TLDR
Women are more accepted because we just seem to fit well easily and even tensions with women in Muslims families I know are less intense, but yeah do not wear burkas and niqabs in my opinion too haha

As for men, especially for young generations, I see them struggling. Probably those who are coming from a family with a strong father figure. I somewhat imagine them acting like some uber-modified, bigot Andrew Tate...

Oh and instead of gender, I would rather categorize Muslims by regions they are coming from... for me based on people I talked to
#1 East Asian, Central Asian, Turkish Muslims - (secular Muslim states)
#2 North African Arabs
#3 Middle Eastern Arabs, Afghans
#? Pakistani - they are a black box lol

So long as they are legally entering the country working a job/attending school and abiding by laws I don't really care. I don't have an issue with Muslims in general. In contrast if they are a bunch of ISIS crossing the Mexican border illegally from Syria or something like that, I think they should be deported and banned forever from entering the country legally. Enter the country once illegally, and you should be banned from legally entering for life. I also do not think America should resettle large groups of people to the USA. Obama did that with Somalians to foster terrorist cells in Minnesota and to rig elections and subvert institutions. Biden will obviously try the same sort of extortive engineered migration attack with Palestinians. It should be blocked.
