I think of few things in terms of black/white, right/wrong, good/evil. Historical events, for example, are always way more complex and nuanced than we are led to believe. That's the case with individuals, too.

There are definitely things I like, some things I strongly agree with, and some things I don't like or even despise. Some actions are really good and some are actually evil. But I try to base my opinions on facts and reason. I try to gather as much information as possible with a goal of understanding all perspectives. I'm not influenced by politics or popular consensus.

When it comes to individuals, I try to be open minded and tolerant. Live and let live as long as a person doesn't harm others. But that doesn't mean that I agree with everyone or necessarily want to associate with them.

In the end, I don't assume that I am in a position to be super judgmental. I don't know everything. I have changed my opinions and attitudes on various things in my life after learning more.
