Science-based answers only? How do you think we really got here? How was life made?

Explain in detail how you believe everything on Earth came to be. What do you think is the real story behind everything that exists (including us)?

After the Big Bang, the Sun (Sol) formed and the planet Earth coalesced into a ball, orbiting the Sun but Earth was still very hot. Asteroids and comets crashed into the Earth's surface, depositing carbon (in the form of methane) and water. The heat caused a chemical reaction between the carbon and water that led, over millions of years, as the Earth cooled, to one-celled creatures, the beginning of life. Evolution then kicked in, and living creatures got more and more complicated to what Earth has today... thousands of types of living creatures.

Fuck the Big Bang! You need to look before that! Nothing existed. As we all know nothing is something. So, it just becomes the whole thang of chicken before the egg, blah blah blah. Life is fucked up. Apparently, when we die, we figure out everything. Or we don't. And isn't that the kicker? There truly is no answer, even if you die, and have an afterlife, are you going to believe what is presented to you? Nope. You are going to call bullshit. Why is that? Like I said before, we can never know how nothing which is something existed without nothingness that is somethingness. Around and around we go!

@bayoubob A theory that I believe has merit is that the Universe is in a continual cycle of expansion-contraction-destruction-regeneration... At present the Universe is expanding, and will do so until it gets so big that it starts collapsing until it becomes a singularity, destroying the Universe, with a Big Bang starting the cycle again.

Just be cause we don't know what came before the Big Bang doesn't mean that there was something there.

Well, for life, it seems pretty apparent: Theia smacked into the nascent Earth, throwing us off prime and giving us seasons. The ensuing constant shifting gave us ideal conditions (in several different places, actually) for the formation of life, especially if you're kind of generous about what constitutes "life".

Matter is trickier. I think the first thing you need to confront is why you think it had to come from somewhere- why do you assume that "nothingness" is the default state?

Enough random chemistry happened to spark organic life. From there life forms evolved to better adapt to their environments and reproduce.

Does this not make you question the chicken and egg theory then? Because there is no way humanly all started as babies. Especially in the days where we had to hunt butt naked for food and withstand conditions of the wild.. what then do you say to that?

I do not care enough to get into the details. I summarized the information I find to be the most likely reason for life. If you want to do a deep dive into evolution, it will answer your specific question.

Are you asking about the origin of the universe, or the origin of life on Earth. In both cases, we don't know. "I don't know" and "God did it" are the same answer.
