Trump has said before that he did not consider this woman to be in his team and he did not trust her. Seems like he was right.

It seems to me that what happened here is a classic case of a politically motivated prosecutor massively overcharging a defendant to get them to roll on the real target, Trump. It's very suspicious that the plea deal results in only probation and requires testimony, which puts a perjury trap in play that would result in jail time for Powell.

Fighting the trumped-up charges would have cost a lot of time and money, and the jury would have been filled with Democratic Party totalitarians. So she took the easy path out by getting probation.

But ask yourself this- if you’re going to trumpet a guilty plea, why didn’t the prosecutor take the case to trial? Why give Powell probation if indeed she were guilty of the crimes she was charged with? It’s dishonest on your part to trumpet a guilty plea to charges that were tiny compared to what she was charged with. So was the prosecutor unethical in overcharging her in the first place? Or why give her such a plea deal if she had actually done what she was accused of?

Suborning perjury, should it occur, is a crime on the part of a prosecutor and grounds for disbarment.

Furthermore, how can you say she was guilty of what she was charged with when the prosecutor didn’t want to take ANY of the charges to trial to attempt to convict her?

As for attorney-client, you obviously don’t know what it is. If she was his lawyer, she’d have claimed it. But she didn’t. And the plea deal allows her to keep her law license, which is one the major reasons why she took the plea deal- rather than being tied up in court and paying attorney fees, she can still practice law.
