Because he gave himself as an ambassador of American nationalism tingling the sentiments of Christians and White Supremacists. Be a populist, give heightened ideas to please under the name of nationalism, blow out the corruption of the opposition hiding your own and everyone who comes under this propaganda fails to see the wrongdoings and the majoritarian pride makes them feel entitled to feel that they and their leader are more 'patriotic' than others.

Same thing that is happening to India. Tingle the sentiments of Hindus, radicalize them, oppress other groups and make Hindus feel threatened by the minority. Give them victim mentality and sell the country which has been socialist in many places for so long to crony capitalists and break the economy down and increasing the unemployment index to the highest ever recorded, people will still vote for them.

Because many trump supporters are not republicans, they are moderates and they are looking out for the US so politicians that actively try to sabatoge the publics choice in president are in fact, by definition, traitors both to this country and to their party which claims to support certain ideals but then votes in laws that go directly against them.

I mean like mitt romney, your by your own admission completely oblivious to politics so you wouldn't know that he is not a republican. He says he is, he runs as one, but his voting record is that of a democrat. Same went for McCain, and many other republicans. They are called RINO's, "Republican In Name Only" because they are only republican in name i. e. they are traitors.
