Probably since they trust him the most, had JD Vance run he'd probably have made it far on merit to. Prior his disastrous campaign I liked Desantis but when they attacked Trump so heavily and when Desantis fumbled it was obvious Trump was a more logical candidate. Vivek I also thought was a good debater, but he didn't earn my trust.

Had it been vance he'd get very much the same attacks except that vance is better at defending himself. Vivek would also have been better at defending himself but then you gotta gamble on Vivek not being controlled. Desantis I knew I could trust due to Florida where he made good decisions hence the support. But any of the other candidates were just bad candidates republicans would not want. And vance? Vance didn't run.
