It stems from white knight syndrome. To elaborate how they work and how they think:

"A white knight is a man who will go to great lengths to defend women, whether they are attacked physically, verbally, or sexually. In fact, it does not matter if the woman is attacked at all. They will ditch their own best friends, hit people, or say things they never would elsewhere, just to 'protect' that woman. White knights come in all shapes and sizes.

White knights are generally men with seriously low self-esteem issues. They are also sexually depraved, and have never had a girlfriend or any female attention for that matter. They use their white knightry as a last ditch attempt to get laid and/or 'prove' their worth to society. Tend to identify as women supporters or feminists, but could not be further from the truth, as all they do is reinforce the idea that women are weak."

TL;DR: Males that are weak, awkward and beta to such an extent that they think they'll get laid by kissing a woman's ass regardless if she's right or wrong, or even makes sense.

UPD: With Gen-Z / Gen-Alpha male feminists, it is typically the result of a boy being raised and brainwashed by a single mom and her surroundings.

Potentially quite dangerous in the future, since eventually they'll get burned by being finessed and exploited by Gen-Z / Gen-Alpha women while not getting anything in return for years. Eventually, his feminist goggles will drop and he'll see the BS he's been fed since early childhood, and there's no telling how he may respond to that. Males aren't emotional creatures, but when they're overwhelmed by emotions, amplified by never having a strong male role model (aka father), it usually results in a serious violence.
