That number seems too high. Those estimates also include military, police, etc. But it still seems too high.

I do know there are more civilian Americans with guns than the entire world military combined. No country in the world could invade and hold the US, even if it didn't have a military at all.

There are more guns than people. While Obama was president gun sales set new records because people were afraid that guns would no longer be sold. I have 2 guns and I know people that have more than that, some have a lot more. The government will have a hard time confiscating all that firepower

I was watching this scene in 1986 movie Raw deal recently which is an Arnold movie and he's loading all his guns up with a big bag of ammo and this must have been a big deal 40 years ago but in 2023 its a very quaint little gun collection he has.

I know of people with dozens of guns and some with even more.
