Ever heard of pepper spray? Cops pepper sprayed the shit out of my friend and I ended up with some of it too, just indirectly, and that shit is incapacitating. My lady carries some on her keychain, I feel way better about that than her carrying a gun. If it goes sideways, the gun could be taken from her and used on her. The pepper spray could too, but I’ll tell you what, as morbid as it may be, I’d sign up for her to be just raped and pepper sprayed way faster than signing up for her to be raped and murdered, I don’t know how that’s even a contest. And what about the 50% of humans who don’t have vaginas and worried about being raped? What’s the excuse of all the men? That’s much more what I’m concerned about, because women aren’t running around shooting each other in random shootings or gang fights or whatever sets off your outrage alarm. But maybe, just maybe, we can stop being psychopaths and putting ourselves in positions where we get to be judge, jury, and executioner in one frantic split second. You can call me all the names you want, but I’m just trying to safe life is unsafe and unpredictable by nature, and bad things will forever happen to good or at least neutral people, and you can either accept that or take one of those guns and put it to your own temple if you aren’t built tough enough for this shit. Like if you think you’re going to waltz through life without getting your ass kicked and your shit taken from you once in a while, that’s all part of the game of life, and it’s not to be altered by soft humans who can’t emotionally withstand it.

If you buy a gun for self defence at what point do you think it's justifiable to shoot someone? The problem is for a lot of people that bars set pretty low, even an insult is enough. Or perhaps they've just had a bad day at the office and you looked at them wrong. The more people who carry guns the greater the chance ones going to shoot you because they don't like your t shirt or the weather's too warm today.

Typically I believe "mass" shootings means they were 4+ victims. Personally whenever I hear the term I just think it means "multiple" people were victims.
