Why are there so many police shootings nowadays?

It has to be more than just black people getting shot. Is it the corrupt attitude so many cops display? Like getting pissed off because you asked them a question. Back 15-20 years ago cops used to be a part of the community. Now they roll around in tinted out black cars breaking the same laws they're supposed to uphold.

This is an extremely complex issue that will never go away in the US because too many people are lazy and stoopid.
Corrupt cops exploiting a broken system is definitely one aspect. Good cops who are otherwise improperly or incompletely vetted and trained is a greater concern. Furthermore, those cops on more difficult details are likely overworked and underpaid. Not to mention the lack of rotation to less taxing duties and almost no mental health evaluation and treatment. Cops in extremely violent “no go” zones experience PTSD the same as military in active war zones. We rarely talk about military mental health and NEVER talk about police mental health! Departments are already underfunded and ignorant citizens are marching to “defund the police”. Ell oh ell! These same citizens refuse to care about their community officers, but demand that the officers care for them? That’s simply not how the world works. It never has and it never will.
