What do you think about a nation created after WW2 to protect a specific group of religious people people who were in a bloody religious war with their neighbors, who you feel had no prior claim to the land they have been granted and who were of another religion? Do you think they have a right to exist?

Arbitrarily creating nations generally does not work out that well. Nations are the most stable when they have a culture and history to fall back on that normally comes from groups of people living in an area for a longer period of time. Trying to artificially create that ourselves is partially why Africa is so fucked up right now.
