Israel is one of the US's closest allies. only a moron would sever ties with a country like that. we have been allies with them since moments after there declaration of independence and formation as an independent nation. also what many don't seem to realize is Israel has one of the most powerful and technologically advanced militaries on earth. The level of allies we are with Israel is to the extend we give Israel $3b per year to advance their military. Israel is defending itself as well. it was attacked upon creation and won that war. it was then surprise attacked by Egypt and Syria in the 70's and damn near wiped the floor with both countries. this latest conflict came after hamas launched a strike massacring thousands and capturing more. Israel launched a counterattack and invaded hamas as a result. oh sure media claims the US is against it but the reality is we are funding this war and will continue to do so as long as needed. Israel backs the US in near all it's militaristic goals so we are most definitely going to give them whatever they need.

considering that democrats are not anti-israel i don't think he would do this. i mean 70% of jews vote democrat. 50% identify as liberal. so a significant portion of the democratic base is jewish.

I think it's hilarious that American Socialists support Hamas. Hamas hates the LGBTQ community and would happily execute them. Jihadi militias that are allied with Hamas just executed more 800 Blacks in Darfur, Sudan in the past couple of days and would just as easily do that to BLM members... Hamas hates the Jews and wants to genocide every last one. Hamas are Islamic Socialists tinged in Sharia law, so they are pretty brutal to many woman as well. Yet many of these useful idiot groups blindly support them because it's the current thing the media tells them to do.

I don't think he has to come out in support of Palestine as much as he has to denounce apartheid, genocide and carpet bombing, and killing civilians who are mostly children. But, to do that, it means slapping Netanyahu in the face.

Unfortunately, voters are STUPID enough to think Trump is any different in his support of Israel. In fact, he's even worse. To vote in more Republitards in the general election just to spite Biden won't do any good, because you'd just be voting in an even MORE fascist state at home, and the end of what little freedoms you have in the USA.

I don't know what Biden will do. The US and Britain are mostly responsible for starting this whole mess anyway, going back 75 years, and everyone in the region, Israel included, perpetuated it.

I don't think Biden can do anything to 'appease' his base, because his dumbass party has been cultivating and juggling mutually exclusive ideologies. They're going to have to commit to specific stances going forward, and more than likely take a loss regardless - optimistically learning from a crucial mistake in the process.
