Cause it seems as though no one cares what they do, so what kind of influence do they have over others?

I am not sure if it was your question or another's about ugly women yesterday. I said I knew one who was uglier than her bull frogged faced brother and father. It was so pronounced the other girls commented on it out of her hearing. Her mother was quite good looking so it all came from her fugly father.

Beauty is a woman's power - remember Helen of Troy's face launched a 1000 ships oh 3000 to 3500 years ago. So this is not just my Sunday misogynist thought.

As a guy I found her off putting. I actively did not want to be in her presence due to her looks. I didn't ask but I think the girls equally didn't want her presence. They never invited her anywhere for sure. She was like a ghost on the outside of a social circle.

She had negative power very sadly.

they are considered a minority. They are still female so no hard physical labour and the like. Once they get prego they can start controlling their husband via the states help and of course her own kids.

Granted ugly women have it pretty bad. But not worse than bottom third of men.

My first point is that everyone has a different perception of attractiveness. So let's go ahead and put the "ugly" label aside. I'm not completely sure what you were meaning by "power". We can all influence others and have a positive or negative impact on the world around us. Also, remember that looks will fade. Kindness, lifestyle and intelligence are the biggest factors in having power or influence within a group. what really matters is this group that you are closely connected with, no doubt they will be affected by your influence, and you will be affected by their influence as well.

Uh... I guess as someone that's deemed as unattractive, I'd say my power lies not in my looks, but I have to make up for it in other areas. In my case, I'm a good listener, so people know they can come to me and vent or talk and I WILL listen- and won't judge them.

I'm intelligent, well rounded, and always try to learn new things. Plus I hit the gym regularly: just because you're not attractive is no excuse not to take care of your mental and physical health!

And I have a decent personality.

So yes, we have powers- we might not get picked for looks, but we make up for it in other ways: typically our minds and personality.

When you’re less attractive if you gain or lose a little weight people tend to not notice where if you’re tiny and gain ten pounds everyone will comment on it. Already self conscious about the change? Don’t worry everyone will remind you if you’re more attractive and smaller to begin with.

Your friendships and relationships are more likely to be genuine. You’re more personality at that point so you know they appreciate yours. If you’re prettier you might not know if it’s your looks that got you your friends/partner or if it was your personality

they do. they don’t necessarily have the socially aggrandized power, but they can concentrate their energies on more important things in life. i always think of eleanor roosevelt. she was a fine woman who made a real difference in the world. and she basically forced her husband to listen to her and make changes :)

If you have a pussy, you have power. Ugly is in the eye of the beholder. Any unattractive girl by the standards where they live, can go get a make over and some advice from fashion people, etc., and make themselves more physically appealing. Once you do that, learn how to use your assets and you'll find plenty of men who will fall all over you.

They do, through education and careers. They achieve on merit, not aesthetics. Homely women can also succeed/have power by being professional Trad-Wives. My mom was one; a tugboat Annie, but prospered in her personal life on achievements. My dad did well and she volunteered a lot.

However ugly women usually lack discipline and undisciplined people usually don't get that far as far as power is concerned apart from royalty and some other folks who got into a position more by luck than merit.
