In my country, many of the public services, health, pensions, social assistance, JUSTICE and POLICE are in a very bad situation.
Instead, there is a class of people in certain public positions (who receive a salary from the state) and these "select people" benefit from the most "special pensions" in Europe. A SPECIAL PENSION CAN REACH UP TO +10,000EURO
That's why I don't agree to pay such a high percentage and I would prefer either these pensions to be drastically reduced or to pay only about 20

I'd go and live somewhere where the tax burden was less onerous. That's why such extortionate tax rates are counter-productive. At that point the government isn't working for you, you're working for the government. To be fair though there's usually a way around it if you hire a good accountant.

Taxation in general is unreasonable by nature as it is forced theft at worst and at best its a forced loan the government takes from you and never pays interest in. Doesn't matter if it's 20% or 98%, it's unreasonable theft.

As it stands, yeah. If it was voluntary, cool. But as it stands, it's not good. If I threatened to lock you in my basement if you didn't pay me money to fix random shit, is that OK? No, but that's what the government does

This is USA mentality, the way you guys deal whit taxes is on the other extrem, no taxs at all in crazy.
In Europe, we like to not pay for doctors, we like to have the same price when we take a produce and when we buy it, we like to have public cleaning, kinde and eficient police, pension, we like to have social help to not become imidietly beggers on the streets.
But in my country we have this 60% taxs and all of them are poor quality comparing with Germany and France (best healt sistem), who pay less taxs.
Or money we know where they do and what the politicians do whit them perfectly.
