I don’t think income should be taxed at all. People should be taxed on things they CONSUME, not things they EARN.

Taxes didn't exist until the early 1900s. Taxing is a fantastic scam implemented by the US government. Since they want to scam everyone I'll give you 2 different things you can do to scam them back. 1st is any money you are paid in cash doesn't exist (though you are "required" to declare it) 2nd any money that you earn that does not hit your bank account is considered unrealized gains (legal term) and can not be taxed.

In regards to the 2nd one you can also move that money to your bank in small quantities so it doesn't trigger the irs automated notice that funds above x hit your account.

I've been saying that for at least 40 years. It won't happen though. I think "use taxes" are the best way. If you use it, then you can pay for it. For example gas tax to pay for roads, entrance fees to use a park, etc.

I see your point, just think of the cost of everything to make up the difference between what we already pay in sales tax plus the amount the feds get in income tax.
