After making 200K this year why do I have to pay so much taxes?

Question

I work hard but I don't understand why it should be fair to punish people who choose to work hard and make sacrifices for their family... Seems like I should just make 40K a year and sit at home drinking beer and pay less for doing nothing. I think taxes should be flat through out the board. Yet they are not it seems like the government feels like it needs to take away from hard working saucerful people and give to those people social programs that I am not even entitle too because I make so much money. To me it seems like the government promotes poverty so more and more families have to be more and more dependent on suckling on a government titties. I will never become a bottom feeder of the government because in the end I will have my land in the country and with my guns protect my self when they come to take my freedom's away. Easy when stupid people become compliant when they don't want to bite the hand that feeds you now that you depend on the government handouts.

Nothing like growing up in the lap of luxury to make you resent those filthy poor people, I guess.

Because thats the way the system works the more you make the poor you pay , dont worry about it , you want to see what I paid in Australia PAYE at 357 k plus , its a total fcking JOKE !

Now , if I wrote same income or more in a company structure...

I had a person on my staff that I promoted a couple of times and she got very large bonuses at that point. She was a die-hard liberal but one day she came into my office shocked by how much she had to pay in taxes. She was quite angry about it and thought it was ridiculous. I just smiled.

Yes, I agree. There should be a flat tax. Everyone pays the same. No deductions or credits. You fill out your taxes on a postcard.

If you took a net of $170,000 I think that's fair and good enough. If they took more than $30,000 in taxes from you then it's not fair what they did to you.
