How can we teach people to think ahead?

To teach people in itself is a difficult task irrespective of what you wanna teach them.
The reason primarily being, they're not open to learn or accept something new. People, in general now thinks of everyone else as a stupid person.
Before anything, it's important to teach them to be a listener and open to new ideas. And this would take a lot of time. Begin with a single person by engaging in a conversation with them or a healthy debate. And if if you're able to convince one, that's gonna have a multiplying effect.
