Do you feel you spend too much time planning for the future?

I'm usually too preoccupied to read but I always buy cool books cause I worry I will want to read it later and forget to buy it. I have over a thousand books that I bought during the pandemic and I only read around 70 of the books. I also spend a lot of time planning book outlines but I rarely turn an outline into an actual book or draft - I keep worrying I will run out of ideas which pressures me to create more back up ideas in case I run out of my ideas after writing my first book. And I have enough bible study projects to last me 50 years and yet I keep coming up with new ones. When I was in university, I was too busy studying to enjoy myself - I kept thinking I could do that later and once I got grades high enough for grad school, which had been my dream ever since I started, I did not even apply, got accepted but acceptance was withdrawn.
