Considering that it's mostly young men who are sent to the slaughter in the event of a war, I'd rather not see our young men struggling more than they already are.

Now, if there existed a draft which would also ship out young women under the ages 30 or so who are still without children and still unmarried, then sure. These women are not going to repopulate so they might as well have some sort of cannon fodder responsibility to the 'ol meat grinder as substitute to the men who are fathers or who want to become fathers.

No we can’t have a major world war three, because it would crippled our life. There was a difference in warfare during World War One and two, sure the world lost a lot but what we lost (except for life) could be replaced easily (for the most parts). Today with all the technology, building codes, other unnecessary building cost, etc, etc. It would take forever to rebuild. Oh by the way no cell towers, no paychecks, food, NO cell or internet, and more of a long list.
