What leftists tend to do is link different groups with very different goals together, in order to demonise their opposition. Often they do this dishonestly.

Back when Elliot Roger killed those people, people weren’t as obsessed with race as they are now. The conflict between left and right was mainly based on men vs women. Feminism vs all of these men’s groups.

In particular, they were against the men’s rights movement and the PUA community. Therefore they linked Elliot with both of those things to demonise those groups.

Yet, he was never a PUA or an MRA. The PUAs are guys trying to learn how to get laid, the MRAs are basically a male version of feminists whose main concern is equality and men’s rights. Those two groups aren’t linked, they disagree on a lot of things. PUAs aren’t concerned with men’s rights, MRAs aren’t concerned with trying to get men laid.

He used to post on a forum called “slut-hate”, which was an incel forum - only nobody had come up with the term incel back then.

They’re doing the same thing here, trying to link incels with nationalism. They want to frame it partly as though nationalists are the biggest terrorist threat to the US, to support censoring their views and jailing people for having those views. They also do it to signal to people that nationalist men are unattractive weirdos, and that’s the only reason they’d be “far-right”. To signal to women to stay away from them, and to signal to men that if they become far-right women will find them unattractive.

But again nationalists also tend not to agree with PUAs trying to encourage men to focus in having sex with a lot of women, because they want to encourage family values. Most nationalist men are traditional family men, not incels. They don’t agree with incels or MGTOW for the same reason. They don’t agree with MRAs because MRAs are against traditional values, discouraging men from getting married.
