Do you think a terrorist who commits terrorist attacks or a harasser or rapist is worse? In fact, the answer to this question seems obvious; the first one seems worse but the second one is seen as worse in society (especially in Middle Eastern societies). What do you think is the reason for this?

The rapist is "worse" in all societies, especially the Middle East. Hence the death penalty on conviction. Whereas you barely get three years in most Western ones!

Terrorists today are freedom fighters tomorrow. The American founding fathers were seen as terrorists by the British and the Native Americans in their day.

A "harasser" isn't something easily dealt with in law, as there is a lot to prove on both sides.

What I said is absolutely true. While Middle Easterners do not speak so badly about terrorists, they speak very badly about harassers and rapists. We are talking about people who commit murder just because the girl ran away from marriage and had sex with someone else. According to them, acting against their distorted understanding of honor is worse than all murders and torture. That's why I'm returning all your bad words to you.

If I'm being entirely honest, as a Persian, I'm kinda offended that you said terrorism isn't seen as bad as rape in the Middle East. It kinda implies you think we're all terrorists. Either way, it's like a fight to the bottom. Would you rather be suffocated or drowned? Both are crappy options. I think it's safe to say they are both awful.

Rape and harassment are seen as worse than the other because they are attacks on honor. We are talking about a region where a girl was killed because she ran away with another man.

And in the U. S., where I was statutorily raped, my report got ignored. I was a 14-year-old girl tricked and manipulated into sleeping with an 18-year-old guy in college. He's white and comes from a rich family, so of course nothing would happen to him. And guess what? He's going into politics. How fitting.
