Weed is not addictive at all people who claim it is haven't done much research.
Weed can unlock your psychosis if you were already prone to getting it, but this is rare and not as frequent as people claim because of course most people aren't prone to psychosis.
All the weed does is connect what's already there. Many people with psychosis dunno they have it yet though and it don't effect them until turned on by some trauma or drug.
Fun fact though so can nicotine yet look how many people smoke and how you never hear any news about that making people so. So can Alcohol which again many people consume.
So people who try to claim weed can give psychosis as if it's a major issue from it don't know the facts really.
Weed is much healthier than alcohol and nicotine yet weed is seen as bad. Always makes me laugh that.12 Reply- +1 y

Thanks :)
I've took a lot of time researching into such things, I always go with learn it before you use it but also just love psychology and science then chemistry.
Tbf I probably shouldn't of used it due to my family have people with prone to mental health issues but I was okay, one of my uncles actually did get his psychosis from smoking weed, and he had a rough time but now he's living pretty well and is sane with the medicine he's on.
So I've also experienced what it does but I know that's anecdotal, and numbers wise it really don't change much.
Interesting side fact Nicotine can and is actually healthy in small doses. It's been proven to be a effective stimulant and helpful in some cases. Of course this is much to the opposite when it's abused.

Basically every regular pot smoker I've ever been around comes across as a complete retard in public- even the ones who are actually very smart on paper. Like most regulated or illegal substances, it screws with your cognitive ability, and overall just isn't worth it.
As far as lung damage, that probably varies depending on how you smoke it and what all is in it, but it absolutely is harmful and at the very least potentially causing chronic bronchitis. Because pot smokers usually take significantly bigger breaths, they also take in more chemicals, many of which are the same as what's in a regular cigarette. It also weakens your immune system, especially if it's already weak or compromised to begin with, such as HIV or AIDS patients.

Well said and don't forget it turns you into a bumbling idiot 😉

No that's a false argument. Anything can be addictive is not the same as something actually been addictive and then going by that logic it's no different to anything else we do.
Weed has no addictive properties that's just facts. And no smoking cigs or vaping has never been linked to making one take drugs.
What I believe you are confusing this all for is people with addictive personalities get addicted to multiple things so they so happen to look connected but factually they aren't. That's all due to the personality of said person not the drugs. - +1 y
@Apple1996 Don't listen to that guy he either smokes weed or smoked at some point everyone knows that's the gate way dry and that's its addictive and cancer causing
- +1 y
@Apple1996 I agree and the only people that thinks it isn't dangerous are the people that do it. My brother that I wasn't dangerous either and he dies of lung cancer at 37 and all he did was smoke weed

it leads to other stuff like overeating and laughing ur ass off at a movie

@Kaneki05 I'm not ignorant to science and of course I know you can't get lung cancer from eating it. But now you open up a new set of side effects. It's funny that you here trying to say someone is ignorant when you on here trying to defend using drugs. Every drug has side effects even the legal ones. The difference is when you weigh out the pros and cons is it worth it? We have so many things that we put in our bodies that we have no control over so the things I have control over like drugs and alcohol I won't do. People smoke and ingest weed for one reason and one reason only. TO GET HIGH! You can sugar coat it all you want but you know I'm right. The only person that defends drugs this hard are users. Your not talking to some high school kid bro so miss me with that bullshit bro!

@Bklynbadboy12 1st you are ignoring science as there is no science that shows weed is addictive.
2nd No evidence shows that it leads to other drug use.
3rd The cons of weed a very little it's proven to be healthier than alcohol or cigs yet both of those are legal and done regularly by people funny that.
4th Please tell me where I ever claimed people don't do it get high that was never even part of my point lol, but also by saying that your also been ignorant to people who use it as a medication. Though of course if you want it without been high you can get just CBD.
You can think whatever you want. But scientifically weed is better than alcohol and is not addictive, and many scientists have tried weed and know themselves it ain't bad.
It's also becoming more legal now due to science backing up that it is safer than alcohol, and if you did some research you'll find out why weed was claimed to be bad in the past was actually due to racism. Most campaigns to ban it were always coated in a bias that it was for a inferior race which of course never made sense but what racism does, and the fact people smoked Tabaco but then called weed bad is just funny.

+1 yNo it doesn't damage it as much as nicotine but you most know smoking in general will damage your lungs, anything that isn't air will most likely cause damage, as fast and as badly as nicotine products, probably not but it's not just the lung damage that you gotta worry about cause it can also cause mental issues from long term use, it all depends on the person's body because people's bodies react differently to different drugs but the most common would be that it can cause anxiety attacks and paranoia, mostly when high, its also recently discovered that also negatively effects the heart as well but there's many ways to consume it and I'd say the best way is through the stomach through edibles or consumables like tinctures.

m +1 yit's not a controversy anymore... a lot of decades-old studies have proven what kind of damage it will do SOME times, to SOME people...
the controversy comes from comparing it to other substances... which are also going to do SOME damages to SOME, SOME times... lol30 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yI’m not sure if it does but I will say this. I had a friend, very cute, nice. She used to smoke a lot of weed w all the stoners, now she’s just slow mentally. Like spaced out all the time.

Opinion Owner+1 yMaybe she’s one of a few. I’m not sure if we’d really does that to people who smoke in excess. I just know she’s slow mentally. She used to play basketball, now she just looks like she’s always stoned cause she has this sort of like out in space look.
1.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It damages the lungs worse than cigarettes. It also inhibits people's ability to drive worse than alcohol does. And over time, people that use it make worse decisions, including doing harder drugs. Every single person I have known in life that regularly smoked marijuana said they wouldn't do harder drugs, and every single one of them did eventually. Things like cocaine, acid, shrooms, and meth were the most common.

+1 yEverything has negative effects. So yes. The reality many people deny is that marijuana leads to a special type of cancer to which there is not only no treatment but is extremely aggressive. It also has positives of course like being able to reduce symptoms of Parkinson's disease and ease the likelihood of seizures. Reduce stress, anxiety etc.
00 Reply12.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes. It has little positive effects and is the worst thing to be legalised after alcohol.
From psychosis of frequent users to addictions and the drugs trade. It's made lives miserable for all dealing with it at various stages.
10 Reply18.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Honestly I don’t think so, other behaviorally becoming addicted to it. It’s not like nicotine. It’s not deadly like alcohol (though I describe the effects as similar) as in alcohol poisoning. And I don’t think you can OD on it.
10 Reply6.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It would if people smoked as much marijuana as people smoke cigarettes. Few people chain-smoke marijuana. It likely has other negative effects depending on how often it's used.
