Do you really want criminals coming to America? Last I heard we were getting 12,000 illegals per day. Why doesn't the president uphold the law? Do you really want terrorists coming into America? Do you not want your family to be safe? Why do you not want killers in prison? Do you like that people in NYC are afraid of the lunatics in the subway?

I can’t identify with the modern American left. They went off the deep end a while ago. I used to when the left advocated for freedom of speech, opinions, and protecting civil rights for all groups. I don’t know why they started denouncing anyone who didn’t conform to their way of viewing the world; that’s the exact opposite of celebrating liberal thought. It’s disgusting.

I’m not on the right though, especially as it concerns immigration. The US is a nation of immigrants, so I don’t feel comfortable saying, “our ancestor immigrants were cool, but you new immigrants should stay out.” I agree that all immigrants should be vetted prior to being admitted to the country (or any country, for that matter). That’s just logical. I think the problem is that we don’t have the bureaucratic capacity to process all of the immigrants who want to come to the country. If we had the capacity to vet them all, then the approved ones would be proven safe and couldn’t be underpaid by shady employers

Sure, I agree with vetting. We don’t have the bureaucracy to cope with demand though. I disagree with our current practice of having quotas for those we can accept. It leads to us arbitrarily deporting people because, “that’s enough 🤷🏿‍♂️.”

Additionally, I don’t agree with the right’s respect of reproductive and lgbtq rights, to mention a couple of other issues

We do have the bureaucracy. It's called follow the law and wait in YOUR country until you're vetted. Arbitrarily deporting people? If you cheat, you get deported. Yesterday we got a record 12 thousand plus illegals. Of course we don't have the bureaucracy if we have a senile president that doesn't follow the law. I've gone through the legal immigration process a few times. It can take up to a year, but it's the right way to do it. Now it's just a big joke and the world is laughing at us.

People have been waiting for decades to be admitted because we have caps on how many people we will accept annually. That’s an inefficient system. Ideally, we would process folks without such caps within days instead of years. That’s my point. I’m happy it worked quickly for you, but that’s not the case for everyone

It took about a year to do it legally, not decades. But when millions of people are cutting the line, I can see where caps would no longer work for the good people. And there's absolutely no excuse for the senile president to be breaking the law.

Here’s the thing: I agree with you that the President shouldn’t disobey the law to achieve political objectives. We need to pass laws to address this issue, not take executive action. This is a symptom of an ineffective legislature, but I agree that it doesn’t excuse overreaching executive action
