For those that have money, does it make you happy or happier? Those that don't do you think it would make you happy?

For reference I am in my mid 20s I'm not a "rich" but I do very well for myself and have more money than nearly everyone I know. I would say it's done absolutely nothing for my happiness and in hindsight I was happier as a broke college kid. I'm interesting in y'all's thoughts.

I would characterize us as comfortable. My wife and I look at money differently. She's not the greatest saver and likes to "enjoy it while we're young". I think she spends too much un useless junk that fills our houses. I appreciate the fact that we don't have a lot of financial stress whatsoever. My focus has always been on proper investing or debt reduction. the only debt we have is a pair of mortgages. We have two homes. I like to make sure that the financial assets we have garnered at this point in our life are put to good use that helps prevent financial problems down the road. Again, she likes to buy stuff.

in the end, it's how you view what you have gained and saved that will determine if money reduces stress, and creates happiness.

As the old adage goes "money doesn't buy happiness! I'm as happy with my 10 million as I was with my 1 million!"

Meaning, once you've got your shit on track, then you get to enjoy, and money amount means less and less. But those poor or living to pay check, they've got to count their cents and dollars. So they stress more about money than we rich.

In your case, you've got a little cash, but you've not got the contentment that comes from having a system and network making it with you. No dragon sits on his gold pile happy - remember that. It's about having the right people around you.
