+1 yThere's no doubt that money is an essential resource that can provide people with a certain level of comfort, security, and access to goods and services that can improve their quality of life. However, when it comes to happiness, the relationship between money and happiness is complex and not straightforward.
Studies have shown that while money can increase happiness up to a certain point, beyond a certain threshold, the impact of additional money on happiness diminishes. This threshold is different for different people and is influenced by factors such as cultural values, life circumstances, and personality traits.
Moreover, research has shown that happiness is not solely determined by material possessions or financial wealth but is influenced by a variety of factors such as social connections, personal growth, and a sense of purpose or meaning in life.
Therefore, while money can provide a certain level of comfort and security, it is not the only factor that contributes to happiness. Other factors, such as relationships, personal growth, and meaning, are also important in achieving lasting happiness.

Everyone typically says that money cannot buy you happiness. I can semi-agree but I also see it in different ways. The idea of having lots of money comes from how good it feels to GAIN more money and of course, being able to buy anything you want. But I do think once you do have it all that feeling will go away, similar to when you get a material item, something you really wanted, it will be fun for the moment but eventually, you will want to move to the next thing. But now that you have money and dont have to worry about financial issues or other problems that you never bother to take care of mentally will start to become stronger since now you have room for growth and the feeling of realizing that money won't fix everything starts to settle in. So in a sense can buy you happiness but it won't be everlasting, but that would depend on the person. Because sometimes having money can be a stepping stone for you to truly find happiness. In other words, it buys you more time.

Yes, money buys experiences, travels, = incredible memories shared with someone.
Also, it provides security in life. Without feeling secure, you can't really be happy

Money is a tool that will magnify who you are.
Regardless If you are a good , kind hearted person or a shit stain on the underwear of the universe - money will magnify that to the greatest extent possible. In my lifetime and in my travels in the US and overseas - I have met people who were dirt poor but happy as a jitter bug while there are billionaires committing suicide.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yControlling your mind is the only thing that can bring you happiness.
There is nothing wrong with wanting to experience prosperity on a physical level.
Money brings comfort and further convenience. It's not meant to make you happy.
That is your job. What you do with money can bring limited satisfaction certainly.
However, disassociation is normal and a good thing. If there were none we'd be dead.
The best way to explain it is through confidence.
You can wear makeup and a nice outfit to feel confident BUT in reality
all you are doing is giving yourself permission to feel confident.
You can feel confident any time you want regardless of the outside.
Most people don't know this because they were never taught; they were taught to always rely on the outside. And so people are conditioned to be insecure. And on top of all of that they haven't learned how to undo that.00 Reply4.8K opinions shared on Other topic. This is another repetitive question on this site.
As usual my answer will be " Money can only buy you the source of happiness but not happiness itself"
For eg, you can buy your favorite car, your most fluffy/ultra soft luxurious bed but it cannot buy you the peaceful sleep that you get at night.
You can have all the money and yet not be happy.

+1 yMoney is unlikely to buy happiness, but it may help you achieve happiness to an extent. Look for purchases that will help you feel fulfilled. And beyond that, you can find happiness through other nonfinancial means, like spending time with people you enjoy or thinking about the good things in your life.

00 ReplyNo. However, it makes life WAY easier and allows you to find/have happiness easier/more often.

Having excessive amount of money though doesn't contribute to happiness in my opinion.00 Reply
