Why? Because their opinions are based on their social media and what their social circles decided. Not real knowledge. When you don’t truly understand something you can’t discuss it so, you have to shut down the opposition with screams, chants, and threats.
In the last week I have spent hours with in Arab from the region and a Jew from Israel. The whole situation looks different talking to real humans and not at some idiot fueled rally or on a 30second video on your phone - most of which is fueled by people with an agenda.
I love those who say “you should learn the history of the area” when me - somebody who digests history books and lectures at a ridiculous rate - can go years without meeting people equally knowledgeable or passionate about history. Everybody becomes an expert in the geopolitical situation all the sudden, even though they are an 18yr barista with a pierced nose and no passport.
Then you have people who say they cannot stay silent in the midst of a genocide but then can’t even name one more occurring right now. (Or don’t even understand the implications of a genocide) Or they can’t stand the idea of a war but have no opinion on Ukraine. Or they profess contradictory opinions without even realizing it. People act like they understand the implications of a war in a urban environment when they have no idea. They repeat beliefs they got from some “expert” on their phone but they have only taken a fragment of their knowledge and spun it as their own. Worse of all, they just repeat the talking points over and over without even having a real conversation with someone who has equal knowledge of the issue at hand.
It’s sad and it speaks to the ignorance of people as a whole. We’ve lost the ability to have open dialogue and critical thinking.
Most don't understand the history of the 2 and only hear news by the media and in some countries like the US and UK get Israel propaganda so become easily mislead and become aggressive against Palestine despite not knowing what is happening I am Pro Palestine and learnt a lot about the history of Israel and Palestine and it's alarming to see so many defend Israel that being said I am against Israel Goverment not Israel civilians or Jews I really recommend people who don't know what is happening in Palestine to do some research on the history of Palestine and Israel because you will start to understand Palestine people have been fighting for freedom for 75 Years I just am sad to see so many Palestinians being massacred by Israel committing Genocide and yes being Pro Palestine I have had people attack me on the site
Because each side is very emotionally invested and propoganda has its hooks in some people. I see pro Israel people do this all the time. They assume you hate jewish people just because you don't support the Israeli government violating international law.

Why are people being weird about Palestine supporters? Well I would imagine anyone who bothered to learn even a little of the history between Israel and other nations in the vicinity they would also not be supporting Palestine. Not to mention Israel is a literal one of a kind country in the middle east. I have spoken about it elsewhere so I'll not bother doing so again but suffice it say anyone who supports Palestine needs to take some world history classes and then come back and let folks know what's what.
Personally I just want the meaningless violence to end. And peace to come true.
At the end of the day, these conflicts are happening all because of religion. Religious people will get triggered by me saying that, but one time I was having a debate with a devoted christian over what Israel is doing and how they’ve gone TOO far… and he stated they have a right to do whatever they want because the land was granted to them by god…

Because it’s an f’d up situation and both sides have committed atrocities. It’s probably best for people who aren’t directly involved to take a step back. It’s not like changing your profile picture or voicing your support actually makes a tangible impact anyway.
The Levant has belonged to the Jews for millennia. They were granted it by G0d. Subsequent conquerors mean nothing. Zionists will prevail militarily and may take down Iran in the process. The argument will go nowhere. Best "Palestinian" Arabs pack their bags and find new digs. Over time, Israel will retake Lebanon and permit it to be a free Christian state.
Meanwhile I reckon both Israel and Palestine, along with everything else between Afghanistan and Egypt, should be carpet-bombed into plate glass. The whole region is a shit-hole and it would be nice to go maybe a decade without anyone trying to fight wars over it.

Israel has every right to defend itself. The Palestinians elected Hamas to wipe out Israel. Let them suffer the consequences.
I just can't believe how much support that are getting. Hamas wants to exterminate all Jews and everyone seems to be okay with that.
cute wording the problem is HAMAS that is international recognized terrorist so we are "rude" to hamas.
