I’m just curious as to what people think? Because I think it’s such a dumb thing to believe in. Just like Santa

+1 yOK, I'm not going to butt in to @Smashingdoozy thread. But I glanced through part of it.
You ask about the TV and technology. I watched it on TV. This was also in a somewhat remote place a fair distance from the nearest city/TV station (which was Winnipeg Canada). Yes, the signal was bad. Both because it came from the moon and because we were far from the TV transmitter. So there was a lot of static. Just like there was always static on TV when you were far from the transmitter.
This is when I'll say I have a degree in communications electronics. I also have a license from the FCC. That doesn't make me an expert but I know the basics. There are many different types of radio signal - "radio" meaning any transmitted signal, whether it's radio, TV, WiFi, cell phone or whatever.
Different types of signals and different frequencies have very different characteristics. For example lower frequencies might be "ground waves". That means they actually follow the curvature of the earth and can reach far beyond the horizon. Higher frequencies are better at penetrating obstacles like buildings. So higher frequencies are used with cell phones because it's good at penetrating all the large buildings in a big city. Lower frequencies will travel much farther, but won't penetrate the buildings.
There are also ways to "bounce" or reflect signals off the atmosphere itself. My father was a ham radio operator. He could sit in the US and talk over the radio to people in Africa or Australia. And he could do it with equipment he had at home with very low power systems. And he was doing it long before the first moon landing.Absolutely the tech was there to get a signal from the moon to the Earth. As a matter of fact once that signal is sent, it continues to travel forever. Whether it's from the moon to the Earth, or a hundred times that far, an antenna WILL pick up that signal. As a matter of fact, the fillings in your teeth will pick it up. Any piece of metal will pick up the signal. It's only a matter of separating that weak signal from all the background noise.
They DID have the ability to do that back in '69, and long before that.10 Reply

+1 yApollo 11,12,14,15,16,17 - 2 astronauts each, 12 in total, landed on the moon between 1969 and 1972. Perhaps the most technological accomplishment in all of human history.
Too bad some people think it was all faked, with CGI pictures and videos, even though this was years before CGI existed.

+1 yExcept people have… I’m certain as the years carry on, more expeditions like that will happen. There’s been unmanned landing many times before.

+1 yYes... There has been multiple moon landings both manned and unmanned.

Asker+1 yHow come there isn’t full footage from the outside once they enter into orbit?
- +1 y
Because the tapes were erased and reused to save money. They didn't realise at the time that the tapes would be a valuable part of history. They are being restored from the live tv broadcastings.
Asker+1 yAnd about the live tv broadcasting in 69, you think that really happened? I can’t even get a clear single half the time in today world. You think they had that good of a singalong to broadcast it to television in that era?
Asker+1 ySignal*
- +1 y
Yes... Live tv has been around since 1929. It wasn't good quality.
Asker+1 yBut to get signal from the moon?😂
- +1 y
Yep the reason you have issues on earth with signal is because there is a bunch of interference. There's nothing in space to interfere with the transmission so yes they could get signal from the moon back down to earth
Asker+1 yJust hear yourself. You said there interferences on earth, but once it hits earth, it’s ok? That makes no sense
- +1 y
It just doesn't make sense to you because you don't understand how it works. Basically in Australia there was a giant 200ft satellite who's only job was to receive footage from Apollo 11 and send it to Houston. There was two other stations that maintained direct transmission with apollo, another one in Australia and one more in the desert of California. The locations of these places (the middle of buttfuck nowhere) ensured there was no interference with apollo and ensured there was back ups incase one station couldn't communicate with apollo.
Asker+1 yYou can say that but did that really happened? Like anyone can just say they did that lol
- +1 y
The dish is still there... We know it happened because of the evidence and the literal people that were there.
Asker+1 yI want you to go to that spot and look at it through a telescope. And you do realize the government controls these people right?
- +1 y
Lmao no. Just because you don't understand how something works does not mean it was a conspiracy.
Do you believe no people have been on the moon or not even unmanned crafts have been on the moon? Where do you draw the line?
Asker+1 yJust like in North Korea, they keep their people in silence. You don’t think that happens anywhere else in the world too? I believe nothing went to the moon. Some people don’t even believe we left the earth’s atmosphere
- +1 y
So how is there a flag pole on the moon... And visible foot prints...
Asker+1 yCan you see it from a telescope? Because I’ve looked at the moon with a several hundred thousand dollar telescope. And trust me, there’s nothing there lol
- +1 y
No you cannot see it from a telescope from earth but there are images from the LROC which I'm sure you will say are fake too because you've made up your mind 🙄

Sadly I know someone who believes that.
Sadly she also outranks me.

10 Reply10.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, do you think Hollywood was that skill that they could pull off something like that from their studios and nobody could ever pick it apart and say this is a fraud come on

Asker+1 yHow? Tell me? You do realize philosophers like Martin Luther were known to against tides of what most people believed in. Is one not to have a free mind?
- +1 y
It’s one thing to be avant-garde in some philosophical field, but something completely different to regurgitate boring long-debunked conspiracy theories. What’s next? „The Jew“ caused 9/11? Bill Gates wants to inject you with microchips? The WEF invented Covid to depopulate the planet? 🙄
m +1 yWe did
But why is it dumb

Asker+1 yOk, so who filmed the space landing? And how come they say we can’t go back to the moon given our current technology? And we does NASA say they lost the original footage from the moon landing? You think something so significant in our timeline would all a sudden disappear like losing an AirPod? Also, stanley kubrick admitted to staging it. Because he was a really good director.
Asker+1 yWhy*
- +1 y
Who put the metal plate on the moon that a laser is aimed at to measure the distance….
Asker+1 yAlso, at the time Nixon was supposedly calling from the moon to Buzz. You think that really happened? Like I can’t even get signal from the mountains given our current technology, and I tried three different cell services. You really think they had that technology in 1969?
- +1 y
So who put the metal plate there

Wow did you invent your level of stupid by yourself or your mum help you
Asker+1 yDebunk all those conspiracies then. Then we’ll talk immature little man
- +1 y
Lmao
Yeah conspiracies
Next thing it will be about how the earth is flat 🤣🤣🤣
Asker+1 yI don’t know if I believe the earth is flat but the whole NASA shit is. You realize it’s just a money gimmick. To get through the Cold War by displaying this fake moon landing. That’s why there’s even video of NASA doing really poorly done cgi. And there’s astronauts using wires. There’s even footage of a walking outside the space shuttle.
