What is it with most women always only wanting gender roles that affect them to go away?

I said most not all so dont be pissed at the facts. I never supported gender roles and never will but if people support gender roles that has always been fine with me. If people are hypocrites with this, that is fine too BUT it is ironic how women always said how it is insulting for men to think it is a woman's job to cook, clean, etc. Yet they think it is a mans job to pay for all dates, plan all dates, etc.

Yeah bro I feel you, that does seem kinda hypocritical sometimes. Like if gender roles are outdated then they gotta go both ways, ya know?

I think a lot of times chicks just don't realize how some traditional stuff also puts pressure on dudes. We're expected to always make the first move, pay for everything and come up with all the date ideas.

At the same time, society is changing and everyone's still figuring things out. Maybe for some girls the financial stuff feels more empowering to them, while kitchen duties don't. *shrugs*

Personally I say just do what works for each couple. Like if a girl wants to help pay or treat me sometimes, cool with me. Or if she likes cooking but I hate it, we can split chores how we want.

As long as people are happy and respect each other, who cares about stupid "rules." I try not to judge - relationships are complicated yo! Gotta pick your battles.

Lack of reflection, mostly. It's something that- most likely- women are less naturally inclined to than men, but the bigger issue is society doing its best to drum it out of them. Find a more self-aware woman, and you'll find more logical consistency in her thinking.

Probably goes for men, too.

I’d rather just support no gender roles. Based on principle, if someone asks another out on a date, that person asking should pay. hypothetically, if man asked me out, I’d expect him to pay if it’s a date. If he wanted me to pay, that’s fine I’ll pay… but we’re just going to be friends at that point.

Today's women are notorious for this double standard. They despise traditional female gender roles but support traditional male gender roles like men being the ones to ask women out, and their thanks for risking rejection is they have to pay for the date too. The vast majority of women alsostill see men primarily as providers. Modern women are tremendous hypocrites.
