What in your opinion is an underrated experience?

Suffering, hard work, and responsibility. I always disagreed strongly with hedonism that sees pleasure (even deeply defined beyond shallow distractions) as the ultimate good and suffering as the ultimate bad.
I see suffering to some extent as good. To live a life completely absent suffering from my mind is a life absent any sense of responsibility, challenges, or ultimately meaning, and I consider that the ultimate meaningless life of misery which renders us very soft, weak, spoiled, and aimless.
So I think anyone who doesn't have enough suffering in their lives should seek more.
There's something I also learned recently from Andrew Huberman about the Mid-Cingulate Cortex, specifically its anterior (aMCC). We specifically active it and grow it by doing things we really don't want to do, which will likely bring on some degree of suffering. The aMCC is associated with the will to live.
So it's not necessarily the case that people who just do the things they want to do are the least suicidal. It may actually be the opposite. It's the people who avoid the things they don't want to do, because they're trying to avoid suffering, that end up becoming the most suicidal people since their aMCC shrinks as a result.
So if we want to avoid becoming suicidal and lacking our sense of will to live and continue on, we need to seek out doing things we don't want to do according to this research.
* activate, sorry

Going to Japan and visiting the little restaurants that the influencers don't go to, one that they don't know of. They recommend one that's good it's probably going to be better than what you get in America or Europe where ever you are, but there could be restaurants out there with even greater food that just isn't known by the tourists.
I heard something where you want to go to restaurants that are only rated 3 stars as those tend to be the out of the way authentic mom and pop food places to go to. and the four or five star ones are the famous chains everyone knows about. not sure if true or not.
@Still-alive write it in japanese so you get the ratings from the locals they give those strict 3 stars
“Planning” a vacation. I love to vacation but I hate when every minute is planned! I’m more spontaneous and would rather just plan where to spend it and just a few things to do or go see, then just take it from there. Being spontaneous just seems to be more fun.
My wife and I tend to arrive at an ideal compromise there since she's one of those types that would plan the vacation out to a tee, while I'm the type that wouldn't plan it at all and just wander around the entire time looking for something to try. So we negotiate and come up with a balance of spontaneity which I like and some degree of planning which she likes.

When you smell something and it brings back good memories from childhood.
ah yes, Crayola crayons
@smahala1991 see, you get me 😌 lol
Those were the best smells. Bath and body works should make that a scent lol
Time out in nature. Whether it be walking along nature trails or camping, it's really peaceful being out there. I grew up and have always lived in the vicinity of New York City, so I'm used to seeing tall buildings and endless concrete. Being in an area where there's nothing but the sound of wind through tree leaves and rivers is extremely underrated

a good night of sleep...
I think we don't value
thank you my kitten but I was not finished with my comment...
I do think we don't value our sleep anymore, lol... especially a good night sleep, and we definitely don't more to seek this, we actually do more to prevent it, all the technology around us, everywhere and at all times...
if it was a problem before, it's more a problem nowadays, for sure... but, we do get used to it and roll with it because well... that's pretty much how we live our lives now, wired to the net
