What will you do if the worst happens? Terrorist attack from inside our country, all the power goes off for months?

Not just power off but also no cell phones, no internet/tv, no heat or a/c. No food to cook because everything in the freezer has ruined. I can hunt and fish and grow vegetables. What about you?
Be handing out the food, helping people get back on feet, creating safe areas, providing security etc.

Try to do the best but pray the power comes back on.
Based on the national security archives nuclear target map, even if a large scale nuclear attack were to target the USA, the most I'd get is a windy day. I'm not located in the damage zone or path of fallout for any of the top couple thousand targets... Considering I generate my own electricity and am not grid tied for electric/water/sewer my basic services would not go out. Everyone that lives around me is well armed and trained. Everyone around me has deep pantries stocked with supplies and most produce either fruits, vegetables, or meat of some sort on their farms either as a business, as a hobby, or to just be generally self reliant. So if the worst happens, it basically means cell phone and internet service is unreliable.
I am definitely ready to get by without electricity or outside utilities at my place.
I will be OK without outside food supply for a couple months. If we are heading into spring, I can expand my vegetable production to extend my food independence. But disruptions to the cold chain and material handling would severely limit food distribution.
I would need to be careful, of course, to not need a hospital.
The effects on everyone would be tragic. …but I think I am as ready as I realistically can be. You are welcome to crash with me.
everything in the frij will rot quickly!
Someone tell Cody the 18 yr old that blocked me that if I'm taking his words to seriously then maybe he shouldn't use serious actions and I wasn't being too serious. If anyone thinks that all the guns you can store and a gas generator is going to keep you safe long enough in this type of scenario (be it close to your residence) I understand wanting to defend yourself just be realistic. You're not that talented, don't have unlimited ammo, bullet proof homes, air tight filtration, water and air, so relax and try not to kill your neighbors for a jar of peanut butter because you don't have much longer than anyone else.
The nuclear threat is child's play. Close down the power grid, and we will all die.
But in answer to your question... I would encourage all of my family to head to my cousin's place. He has a lot of acreage, and we might be able to make a stand.
Food, water and shelter won't be a problem. The problem will be people trying to take our food, water and shelter. That won't end well for them.
I grow a fair amount of my own food, I finished the fireplace at our home. Am working on the second floor and the roof. Will be building furniture for the new additions so should something like that happen I will be completely fine as I have taken strides to ensure I am able to stay warm with or without power.
Something like that happened here but it was nature that caused our power to go out for a month. I just had to do something that i use to do before i got access to internet and gadgets. Also, good thing our stove is gas not electric. And we have a back up generator to use time to time.
a month? which country can't repair in 3 days?
Philippines is very typhoon prone and we have a lot of corruptions going on here which is another reason why repair takes so long.
really depends on scenario. I suspect will be close to the center of it but doubt so big would take us out. if so, I have no idea as we'd be out of water and power.
There are solar storms that could occur any moment and take down all electronics... just like they did hundreds years ago. wouldn't that be a hoot?
I have Solar, and a Tesla Storage battery in the garage that will power the entire house for 24 hours.
I can't think of any terrorist scenario where the power would be off for months.
I've got a backup generator so I'll have power. It powers my whole house. I've had no power for 11 days due to a storm. I just started my generator and I was good until they fixed the issue
You better have a lot of guns, because if that happens, that's no longer "your" home.
I wish you the best. Democrats love criminals, and it's your job to protect your family.
I was in NYC for 9/11 as a 19 year old or so? Maybe 20... Depending on circumstance if shit happens again, run, fight, or Hide.
probably all the many atheists would start looting in the dark.
Wowww scarry but i guess it would be gud for my work though...

Hard to tell. Living in South Africa we might not tell the difference
No power and the stock market crashes. All the wealthybpeople panic and jump out of high rise windows as they can't live without their money. The rest of the people will find a way to survive.
i'll have to ask my good fiend Rachel for some supplies. She's loaded. :P
i am both flattered and speechless at this show of generosity. haha
Become a local warlord and raid people for food and concubines.
It's something that is a huge reality! I just hope and pray Donald J Trump already has this covered!🙏
Whatever needs to be done, realistically. Stay safe, explore your options and execute the plan.
That's gonna be really shitty, better rely on solar.
What will you do?
The water 💦 supply will be poisoned first
I'm shocked that it hasn't already happened.
Go to my 2nd home in Canada
Be able to reset some things. It would be helpful.
It's estimated 90% less of life.
Be thankful that it didn't happen earlier
