Definitely is annoying. I keep getting locked out of one of my online banking apps cause I've reset the password so many times I can't remember what it is

Why don’t you have a password manager? You really do not need to remember passwords. Or a device that uses biometrics to allow you to login etc.

Passkey seems to be a good alternative, I use it on github, google and my microsoft account and its working quite well there. It basically just makes my password manager give a popup asking me to confirm I wish to sign in, and then I am signed in without it sending my password.
