Do liberals actually care about Gaza or are they just virtue signaling?

Why would someone without a Palestinian or Middle Eastern background care about Gaza? I would assume they have some problems if they actually cared.

And yes, many people do find empathy for the Palestinians and even some like the Irish find a common history since they were oppressed in a similar way by the British. If you have the time and you are in USA, swing by an authentic Irish bar and you will probably find a Palestinian flag there somewhere. Their support of Palestine goes quite far back and is ingrained in their culture at this point.

But there is basically no reason as an American to not support Palestine. Even if all you care about is USA itself, it is currently trying to get out of the middle east politically and leave the entire region to its fate. However, to do this they have put a plan into action, the idea being that they want to prop up two US allies to take their spot and maintain control over the region from outside forces (like China) and the 3rd Middle eastern power (Iran).

Those two allies USA has decided to support are Saudi Arabia and Israel. However, Israel is currently ruining its position as a regional power because it is screwing around with this endless conflict with Palestine. It is in USAs interest that Israel stops causing chaos in the middle east and begins to work as essentially an American puppet.

Not interested in empathy, USAs position as a super power or their control over the middle east?

The conflict between Israel and Palestine is causing regional instability and mass immigration.

It is also causing the gas price to go up.

I could go on. There is just no reason to allow this conflict from continuing. It does not benefit anyone except from the leadership in Israel who gains political support from prosecuting this war and HAMAS who gets more volunteers and donations for every bomb Israel drops on Gaza.

I am skeptical of what I hear. I don’t believe what the Hamas run government says or care. I believe a loss for Hamas is a loss for BRICS. I don’t like the attitude the Global South has, and any blow to them I could care less about if that makes me sociopath I guess I am.

It’s not about being from the specific location. It’s about how would you feel if whatever is happening would happen to you.
