Why don’t other liberals understand they are jerks, and suppress other types of freedom?

I am a liberal myself about most things, but I see most liberals are blind to the fact that they are jerks, held to a lower standard in behavior, like they can get away with more, and say more, without facing as many consequences usually.

freedom is always a tradeoff and what you pay with is security. they are mutually exclusife. you can't be safe and free. so people have their own individual preference of "how free" or "how safe" they wanna be. and the specrum "liberal and conservative" are bascially just words to describe the extreme ends of each spectrum. most people are not on the extreme end. most people are closer to another and closer to the middle than to the extremes. yet we still keep hating each other, not understanding.

It's a state of mind. Most everyone these days tends to feel like people that think differently are the enemy. If people spent more time focusing on things that they agree upon, maybe things wouldn't be so volatile.

Yeah like overall I am pro choice, pro same sex marriage, and everything like that. They don’t get that a lot of opposition comes from them bullying others, or making fun of whoever thinks differently than them, trying to cancel people, and they wonder after all that, why conservatives are the way they are?
