Few people know that there are different schools of libertarianism. Most are only familiar with the Ron Paul variety of "right-libertarianism."
I like that to a great extent. The only thing I don't like about it is their support for unchecked laizzez faire capitalism.

I lean more toward "left-libertarianism". Power to the people.
I love individual liberty and freedom. But just as we need laws to punish thieves, rapists and murderers, we need laws to regulate corporate behavior.

I like worker-owned businesses and co-ops. I think corporations should be strictly regulated, monitored, and held accountable for the good of the people and the environment.
I also think there should be a way to prevent individuals from becoming so wealthy that they gain oligarchic control over government policy. Of course, that would also require criminalizing graft and insulating government from the influence of private money.

I know, pie in the sky, right?
