I think we are all born into a variety of circumstances. As a general rule each of the two sexes has their own challenges and obstacles to overcome but I really think on the balance it’s about an even break. It also matters where you were born socioeconomicly, in what country, and things like your attractiveness and personality. I think it also varies from decade to decade, in about 5 year increments.

What I mean, is I think the late teens are harder for girls than for boys. I think 20s are harder for men than women but I think women have it far harder later in their 30s.

I’ll spare you all the lengthy breakdown but a very simplified example: being a young single woman in her 20s means plenty of opportunities exist but a young man has to work harder to find a good woman who’s interested. Two decades later, as a single 40yr old woman you’ll find fewer options but as a man you will probably have plenty. There are similar “flips” in life at each five year spread as it pertains to careers, relationships, and the real challenges kick in if you get married, start a family, and such.

I believe that life can present different challenges for both men and women. It's important to recognize that everyone's experiences are unique and can vary based on various factors such as culture, society, and personal circumstances. While there may be certain societal expectations or pressures that can affect men, it's also important to acknowledge the challenges faced by women.
Ultimately, it's about supporting each other and promoting equality for everyone. 🌍

    nope...

because I have never lived as a woman before so I definitely can't really tell how it is and how hard is or it isn't

in fact... even as a man, I have not gone through the many difficulties and hardships that other men have experienced that were different than my own

so... I just really don't feel like I want to tell anybody that their problems are easier than mine... or aren't

What I think is it's hard for everyone and often times many of us are worried about separating each other into groups to find ways of who's the biggest victim or who has it the worst. It's frustrating to me and a waste of time. Go and try to live your best life and remember we will all have struggles at some points.

Have you been raped? Have you been pregnant?

Also most women after having a kid feel extremely fulfilled and it gives them a new sense of purpose in life. So I wouldn't exactly say that giving birth is a negative. Yes you have to go through 9 months of your body being taxed, and then pain for a while on the day you give birth, but that is extremely temporary. The benefits outweigh the negatives.

Our biology is different, but I don't think that makes your life much harder honestly.

Won’t come at you just neither of those things seem that serious. Sure, creating a life is not a small thing, but every single woman I know including my mom, wife, and sister, have has multiple and speaking is as nothing but a positive experience. And periods, I mean…it’s not the end of the world. Seems like a very low threshold to declare women have a harder life over.

I mean, relatively speaking anyhow, I think men l have is much harder across the span of world history if this is the only thing that we’re to qualify as being hard for a woman. Which is why I ask if that is all their is. My understanding of history would’ve included much, much, more.

No snowflakes here. This whole website is about posting opinions. That’s kind of the point. I think women have it tough - no doubt - but if periods, babies, and ‘I’m a girl so I know’ is the argument I just don’t see it. We have a national history of drafting and sending 18yr old men to die in wars; we incarcerate men with sentences several times more than those for women for the same crime; men top the list of murder victims, workplace deaths, and suicide. Men have harder time fighting for their parental rights and are legal obligated to provide for a child yet have no say on whether that child can even be born. Just as women can be raped, men can be falsely accused of rape or sexual assault and at this point can’t even look in the direction of a girl in a gym without being labeled a perv, even if he’s just looking to see if a specific machine is open.

Not saying women don’t have it hard, but I just think periods and childbirth sure don’t rise to the level that makes that a harder life than men.

No doubt. But since pregnancy is a choice, modern medicine eliminates most of those complications, and only about 60% of US women ever even have a child (and those numbers are steadily declining for the last 30 years) it’s makes it hard to call that a universal difficulty for women.

Depends on a lot of things specifically where they live. What a lot guy don’t understand is that women especially in third world countries are more like to be physically and sexually abused considering it’s a social norm. Like the Middle East for instance.

Other factors include economic, social class, and beauty as well. It all really depends on the individual and what life really throws at him.
